I was in a cheap, dirty, very low quality hotel in Roma, Italy, but we chose to stay because of the price per night, only about 30 euro (around 40-45 dollars). We had a horrible view of an office building/apartment building which i could see through a open window which was the entire walls height tall, maybe 10 feet, and about 5 feet wide, (there was a no glass, yes it was that cheap, but it did have 2 large green shutters that you could open and close), but what was cool about this building was that we (my two friends and I) were on a high enough level that the roof of the building across from us was actually equal with our floor, so you could see the entire roof. But this is when it gets better, on the roof of this building, there is a statue of Jesus, maybe 10 ft tall, and it looked like this (http://www.barcelonaexperience.com/images/spot%20light/bigPi cs/tibdabo/bJesus6123.jpg), except darker. Earlier in the day, I managed to buy a laser pointer from a street vendor, which I then put it in my pocket and forgot about it. Then, at about 11 at night, my friends and I are sitting in our hotel room, with the huge window shutters wide open, with the Jesus statue being able to be seen as a silhouette due to the moon's brightness, and as I notice this, I reach into my pocket and pull out my laser pointer I bought, for no particular reason, and I can't remember why, but I press the button that makes the laser light turn on, and point it directly at Jesus, who is maybe 50 ft away from our room.
So I point the laser at him, and not even 2 seconds later, the shutters slam shut with a force that no wind could cause at that moment, and even better, one of my friends literally maybe 15 seconds ago before I shined the laser on Jesus, he complained about there not being a breeze, so I knew for sure the shutters did not close because of a gust of wind or a breeze. So the shutters slam shut, my friends have no idea what happened, but I just sat on the edge of my bed in awe.
Now, whenever I replay the event in my head, and even now as I write this, my eyes water uncontrollably as if I'm crying.
