Wow, some freaky stuff in here. Here's what happened to me when i was 10.
I was in Junior School (yeah, I'm from England) and it was a tradition to stay at this old building called Cliffe House for a few nights. You know, study the local rock formations, wildlife etc. Typical educational visit.

Well, on the second night, i was sleeping in room 6 (if anyone on here knows of Cliffe House, they should know that its on the same floor as the room with the huge hole in it) with the bedside light on - at the time, i still needed a light to get comfortable at night.

At some time early in the morning, my light cut out. This disturbed me, and woke me up. Yet, almost through instinct, I turned over and looked at the hanging beam on the ceiling. I have no idea why I drew my gaze there, but I was just attracted to that section. As I kept on staring, I felt cold - granted it was November, but this cold draft came from nowhere.

As I kept on staring (i hadn't blinked at all) a figure appeared. Crouched on the beam. Now, the room was dark. But what I saw was pure darkness - it was just a black shape amongst a dark background. Yet it seemed to pull all the light in. It was compelling to look at. With the cold breeze that moved through the room, it appeared to ripple (much like a flag in the wind). I was captivated - it didn't seem natural. It didn't seem real.

Then it moved. And I'll always remember it raising what can only be described as a head. It was a slow, yet intimidating action. It looked at me, as I stared at it.

My attention then moved to its eyes (or where they should be). They were just holes. Where as before I couldn't see the wall behind this figure, I could through its eyes. And I've never known terror like this before; for just this split second I knew fear. Felt worthless. Felt vulnerable. Felt like I was looking at some creature superior to me. That I had no power in stopping if it chose to attack me.

And then I blinked. The draft that was moving through the room disappeared. Warmth returned to my body. And the bedside light came back on. The darkness ceased to be.

Admittedly, I was confused, scared and unwilling to believe what had happened. I was only 10 - such supernatural occurrences aren't meant to happen. I wasn't old enough to grasp what had (or hadn't happened).

Moving forward 8 years (if you can't do simple maths, that makes me 18). I'm channel flicking at home with my parents, and they put on Most Haunted. I'm thinking "ugh... what a crap program" when suddenly the presenter announces that in this episode they're going to venture Cliffe House. The same one I stayed at 8 years ago (well, 9 years ago as I'm 19 as I write this post). And they state that they have evidence of an angry spirit who resides there; the spirit of a young man who was killed by the man who was sleeping with his wife. In room 6, 2nd floor. I couldn't believe it...

Everyone at school's saying it's a terrorist threat. The phone number is 443 303 3001 9/11/08

One time I was home alone chilling in my room, and I kept hearing foot steps in the kitchen. First time I thought "Oh, grandparents sure got home early" (they had gone somewhere. Dont remember). When they didn't say hello or anything, went out and there was no one there. I shrugged and went back to my room. Heard the noises again, again, no one there. I eventually turned up my music so I wouldn't hear anything from outside my room. It was really creepy, and I just didn't want to think about it.

you could have a ghost in your house >_>

despite what anyone says ghosts ARE real.

there are different area codes you know. not every person in maryland has a number that starts with 240 or 301.

I've had those Furby toys randomly start up, saying the creepiest things "Do you love me? I want to hug you"

Also, I hate how at night you see really creepy things on shadows, like once I saw a dude staring at me, and it turned out to be the folds in a shirt catching light.

Oh yeah, and blackbirds. Those things honestly sound like maniacal laughing in the middle of the night. Hate those things.

EDIT:

Ok, I have a couple more.

First, the WIERDEST stuff happens to me whenever my mom goes on vacation and I have to stay with my grandparents. The first and second time she went, I got REALLY sick and had to go to the hospital. The third time, last time, I had just gotten braces, and one morning the wire was speared through my top lip, and so I had a minor surgery of freezing and cutting to get it out. This time, the fourth time, I nearly broke my ankle, just ended up twisting it twice and I'm on crutches now, going to see the doctor tomorrow morning. It's wierd, because each time it's getting worse and worse.

I have been having the wierdest "flash-forwards". I guess you could call it deja-vu, but I know it hasn't happened before.. I'd just picture a quick second-long thing in my mind, for example a friend slapping down his hands on my desk at school before talking to me, and it would happen in the next 3 to 4 days. It's wierd, because when it happens, I'm think "Yep, I saw that coming, that was my vision thing" It's WIERD.

That happens to me alot to weird

Creepiest thing that has ever happened to me? Well this isn't exactly me, it was my nephew, he's about 5 or 6 now, but ever since he was about... oh, 3 or so he's been talking about '"Bob" the ghost'... He never fails at giving complete descriptions or anything. Anyways, my sister was living in her house before this one she is in now, I would go over there all the time; in the mirror, you would see this huge black demon with red glowing eyes ever so often, and once the light bulbs just exploded inside their chandelier, also another time after that all the bulbs just fell out, one by one. But the most scariest time was my nephew playing Xbox or PS.. can't exactly remember.. We're all sitting in the kitchen (Me, my other nephew, my sister, my dad) and the living room where he was playing was right around the corner; well, we were sitting in there for quite sometime when Zack(my nephew) comes running in "Mom! Bob won't let me play my game!" It's quite hard to believe this, we all go out there, my sister picks up the controller, "It's fine." and hands it back to him, he sets it on the floor and you can almost see the tears in his eyes, the controller buttons, and joysticks, all were moving and being pushed by themselves. He says "I told you mom he said I can't play!" The TV turns on and off and on and off for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, then the controller flies across the room, the game system, the TV all turn off at once. My nephew is just sitting there saying that he can't play because he's not allowed, Bob says he can't do it right now... God that was one of the scariest times ever. Another time was when I was babysitting him, it was just me and him in their new house they live in now... We were just talking and their basement door was shut, I shut it so the dogs wouldn't go down there, and it flies open and it was like wind gushing through the basement like a blizzard, no windows open, no windows even in the basement, and it was like you could almost see the wind, it was like some force of white-grey color pushing through, then it was gone as fast as it came, and the door shut... Zack then looks at me, he says "Bob followed us to this house, I bet it was him" And just about 2 or 3 weeks ago I guess their one dog, Haley, she was laying on the floor, and then she randomly was being pulled across the floor laying down backwards, as if someone was pulling her tail, then after this had happened, she had a seizure, and was puking and going to the bathroom uncontrollably over and over, that day, after they dropped her off at the vets, they stopped by, my nephew Zack tells me about it, although I already knew but he told me 'Bob was pulling Haley across the floor by her tail" and now ever since this happened he is deathly afraid, and he's never been afraid of "Bob" because Bob was his 'ghost friend.' And now he doesn't want to be alone, sleep alone, do anything in that house anymore... That's about all I got for now. I have too many stories to even tell for this forum. :P

something weird that occasionally happens to me, the second i start to fall asleep i hear a loud "hey!" and i feel like ive been shocked, ive never been able to explain it but man is it weird when it happens

wow, the same thing happens to me sometimes, except when it happens i always see a face with it to, really creepy

Similar thing happens to me too. Occasionally I'll hear some voices or it's like I'm "shocked" or "jolted." This only happens when I've been forcing myself to stay awake, and finally lie down to sleep. And I'm pretty sure it only happens if I lie on my back.

-Actually this shock can be caused by stress. "Since stress hormones are stimulants, they stress the body including increasing the electrical activity in the brain. Increase electrical activity can cause this symptoms when trying to rest" Also along with it do you sometimes have shortness of breath? It could be even heart palpitations, adrenal fatigue, sometimes even dream within a dream, daydreaming... lots of things... I've read a lot about this, actually; it's all different for different people, I actually WOULD bring this up to your doctor cause in some cases these symptoms mean serious things, sometimes they don't. Not trying to worry you, just trying to help :)

Man that's crazy, I was at someone's house and the same thing happened to me, i saw the same exact thing! In the corner of the ceiling of the bedroom... except I felt like it took control over me, I felt like I blanked out and I awoke in their bathroom on the floor in the corner with a cross in-front of me and my friend trying to wake me up, I asked what the -blam!- just happened? What's going on? I was so confused, They told I was screaming and screaming and throwing up, and hitting them and saying weird -blam!-... I don't know -blam!-'s crazy man, but on another note Most Haunted is a tight ass show, lul. :)

I can tell you one thing, Shadow Figures=Bad. They are often demons or angry spirits. But the thing about them (as with all "harmful" spirits) is that the only way they can hurt you is if you allow them to.

I have one that stalks the kitchen where I live between 12:00 AM-4:00 AM doesn't do much but go past any area where there is light in the kitchen, goes into the hallway sometimes past my room and this really horrible feeling comes over me when I see it or feel like its watching me.
