I chose something different. I chose the impossible.

I actually have one to add to this thread!

The other night there was such a big storm (around 10pm?). I'm talking the real deal storm where the thunder was deafening and the lightening lit up the street. So I'm in the shower, minding my own business and I get out, get dressed, the usual, notice that it's raining particularly hard and then a sudden -CRACK- and the power goes out.

Obviously been in blackouts before, I stumble around in the dark for a bit looking for a torch or my mobile to make my way upstairs. It was at this point that various lights on my level of the the house start flickering on and off, dimming then going bright etc. Yep, a little wierded out at the moment, but no biggie. I find my mobile from a lightening crack lighting my room and press some buttons to light up the screen, make my way down the hall. To my right there is a built-in air conditioning panel which lights up and selects choices etc when you press the keypad. As soon as I step past it lights up, projecting numbers and letters that have never even been displayed before, before turning off. Okay now I was a little spooked. It did it again, in synch with a lightening crack before I sprinted upstairs to find my family all in the lounge room.

I get there, explain what happened all while strangely noticing that the radio is on. It wasn't a radio station as it was discernable ramblings and wouldn't turn off from the off on button, not even when the cord was pulled out. The storm started moving away from us but the lights were still flickering, the radio was still on and now the oven had started making noises. (kitchen next to lounge room). Now ovens can make noises heating up amongst other things, but this was different. It sounded like someone was clawing at the inside of the oven, and stopped when it was opened, touched or walked past.

Okay, all symptoms of a power-outage, and as the storm had totally passed (no rain, lightening, only a low rumble of thunder every now and again) I had the job of checking the switchbox. Yeah, you guessed it, no switches had been flipped at all. Total mind trip.

Maybe your house was conducting electricity via lightning? I'm probably wrong, just guessing.

I had an experience maybe 7-8 years ago that was scary.

Every night one year for like a month I'd wake up at exactly the same time every night to find 2 glowing green orbs (back then I called them eyes) at the entrance to my room. I'd doze off, wake up, and they're still there. This recurred once like 3-6 months ago, and now, while playing Xbox Live once or twice every week, my radio will turn itself on and start playing my Nickelback CD (which I have no problem with, I <3 Nickelbacks music). And it doesnt turn off when press the power button on and off or when I unplugged it. It keeps playing for like a half an hour, sometimes more, then stops.

My house is built on an Indian burial ground.

As one other guy said before, if I'm lying, I'm dieing.

I am the Naked Sniper

I was out camping with my family, i live in sweden so theres a lot of viking tombs at some places and we were camping close to one. When i was sleeping i woke up of a noice outside the tent, i listened carefully and i could hear something moving outside, then somthing started poking at the tent, it must have taken an hour before it finally stopped. After many hours i managed to go to sleep, the next day i looked around the tent if there were any bushes or anything that could have caused the noise, but it was nothing there.

I was sitting in my cabin late one night when the ISS was going to fly overhead. It must have been flying much closer to the Earth than usual because it cast its own shadow. I was put in complete darkness.

One night I was playing Halo CE with a few friends in the basement. It was about 3am and we heard footsteps above us and we knew noone was home or comming home until late afternoon the next day. So I thought that my mom came home from her bf's house so I went upstairs to say hi and when I got up the stairs no lights were on. So I was like "oh okay? guess it was the cat." So when I get back into the basement my cat was in the corner looking up and making this weird meow like she gets when another cat is around. So were sitting around for about another hour and we hear this big bang like someone slamed the front door. Me and and two of my friends went up to take a look and one of the kitchen tables were on the ground. Now we were kinda freaked out. We went into my family room because now I knew my mom had to be playing a joke or something. I turn the corner and all I see is this white figure standing in the middle of the family room and it seemed like it was floating a few inches off the ground. My friend then started screaming bloody murder and then ran down into the basement with us right on his heels. Ever since then I havnt seen anything but I still hear the footsteps late at night around the same time...

Uh... Some random chick that's pretty hot randomly hung out with me for an hour during school, and called herself ugly a few times.

I just thought it was really creepy. She's randomly like, 'What's up?' and talks to me for an hour, calls herself ugly, and then spends the rest of the day with her friends.

She was fishing for compliments.

Yeah it happens to me every once in a while, it's in different forms. Like one time there was an earthquake and the ground opened up beneath me and I fell into a massive crack in the Earth. Right before I hit the lava I woke up and my heart was beating so hard it hurt.

Another time I giant mosquito (like the size of a large dog) was flying at my face and right before it got there I woke up.

I was walking in the forest on a winter day (no snow). The forest was practically lead, except for the water flowing. As I walked upstream I looked at my surroundings and noticed a rock, another rock, and a hairy rock. A hairy rock? This is obviously not right. So I look up just a little bit to notice that I am looking at the inside of a gutted deer. I stared at it, then ran.
