Was at a friend's apartment, and we started watching Paranormal Activity. Now, we are used to loud noises, the phantom toilet (it flushes randomly) and the cups on the tables moving (that and the loud noises can be attributed to the floor-stompers that live above).
-blam!- started to get weird nonetheless:
1) Knocking sounds at the door. We are used to the door rattling, it's a crappy place that isn't very well maintained. However, these knocks were not the normal "jitters" that the door normally experiences. These were legit -blam!- knocks, similar to the way we knock on each other's door letting each other know we are coming in, regardless of what's going on in the room. This happened twice, I checked the door mere milliseconds after both occurences, no noises of people walking up the steps (their apartment is in a basement) and not a single person was spied in the hallway.
2) Stuff moving in the apartment. I mentioned that the cups on the tables tend to shift, but this was far different. We paused the movie to go outside, clear our heads and smoke a cigarette (honestly, we were starting to get a little creeped out, we needed a break). Afterwards we decided it was time to crack open a couple of cold ones. I went to the bathroom to take a piss, while my two friends grabbed their beers. I walk out of the bathroom and go to the fridge to get my beer. As I cracked it open I made a comment about the freakishness of the movie. At that instant, a glass on the kitchen table toppled over and broke. Succeeding that event, a plastic grocery skidded off the table, tumbled off a chair and proceeded to skitter it's way across the floor. Brix were shat, I noped it to the couch and we continued watching the movie.
3) A little while into the movie (the part where the couple hears that growl and the door slams shut) Both of my friends' room doors slam right the -blam!- shut. No explanation, just a creekity-creek-creek of both doors and then instantaneous slamming. All three of us shat brix, paused the movie and went out for another cigarette to clear our heads. Coming back inside we checked to see if the windows were open.... they weren't. There was no Goddamn reason in hell why they should've shut like that. We were creeped out beyond all belief, yet we continued watching the movie.
4) End of movie, all is good rite? Nope, we started talking about how we weren't gonna get ANY sleep at all that night (none of us did, I crashed on the couch because I didn't wanna walk home alone) and turned on the TV. Wouldn't ya know it, Ghost Adventures was on (Travel Channel). So, naturally, we got on the topic of EVP's and how certain images could possibly be captured by a camera and not seen by the naked eye. This got one of my friends thinking (NEVER a good idea with him!). So, while I was talking he took a picture of the open closet that was behind me. I started to -blam!- about how he shouldn't kid around.... but I abruptly stopped when I saw his face. He motioned slowly for me to get over to him, where I saw the picture he took.... The picture had included me, the couch I was sitting on and the open closet that was directly behind me and the couch... It showed some sort of apparition leaning over me, this wasn't a shadow of any kind, we checked for that....
At that point, we decided to go out for another cigarette, turn on some silly cartoons and stay up for the rest of the night. Sleep did not happen for us until about 5 in the morning, when the sun started coming up. That was the creepiest night any of us had ever experienced.
