Wow, reading some of the stories here made me realize how relatively uneventful my life has been thus far. Very well, I have two short stories of my own to share.
Last year, I went on a school trip to Washington D.C. I was walking the streets with my group when we passed a man sitting on the sidewalk. When he saw me, he pointed at me and said, "Hey, you look like Justin Bieber!" Needless to say, when I got back, I went and got a very short haircut.
One day more than several years ago, my brother and I decided we were going to build a fort in the woods (which would turn out to be one of our less successful forts). We chose a steep hill and a drizzly day to build it. About a half an hour into the construction, my brother instructed me to go find more wood for the walls. As I turned around to run up the hill, I saw a man standing no more than ten meters away. I froze where I was standing, and noticed that he was dressed in 1940's clothes, sporting a driver's cap with his hands in his pockets. He started to walk away casually onto a thick patch of leaves without making a sound. I turned around to fetch my brother, (who was closer to me than the man, but taking no heed in the situation) and when he came the man was nowhere in sight. We returned to the house and I promptly described the man to my mom. She said the description fit her father, (my grandfather) who had died long before I was born. I have an eerie feeling whenever I return to the spot.
