The other most freaky thing that ever happened to me was when I was in Cornwall. I loved it there, and would go swimming every morning, no matter how cold it was. Even when it was raining and windy, and no-one was on the beach, I would be the lone wolf paddling around the water. One rainy, windy day - I felt adventerous. I put my wet-suit on and dived into the sea. Keep in mind I was young (but a good swimmer) and I did not know the dangers of sea + weather. I swam underwater for quite a bit, looking at all these spined fishes on the sea bed. They fascinated me, as you could hardly see them, until they poked their spined back from the sand and stung you - a bit like a jellyfish. I always threw small rocks at them, and they would scuttle around going crazy, poking their spined backs up and down. Well, I saw a trail of these spined fishes, and decided to follow them. I had a snorkel on, so kept my head under water. Soon, the trail of the fishes has dissapeared, and I noticed the water was alot darker. I looked below my feet, and it was incredibly deep - I couldn't see the bottom. I realised it was a cliff under water. I panicked - as I hated not knowing what was beneath me, and numerous shark sightings had been made earlier in the year. I poked my head above water, and saw the shore was a LONG way away. I began to scream, but the wind got stronger and the waves kept pushing me under. After swallowing salty water and coughing it up - barely breathing - the mother of all waves picked me up and threw me into a small rock bed. I broke my collar bone, but the shock and struggle to stay breathing took my mind from it. The waves died down, and I sunk slowly from the rocks into the water. A nest of these spined fishes were below me, and I fell onto them. They stung me for 2 minutes straight, when I was pulled up by a lifeguard. He was off-duty, as he didn't think anyone was swimming, but saw me from his house and came down as soon as he could. I was so scared,is that true? if it is, that'd be creepy...
