I was lying in bed, about to go to sleep. I heard footsteps, which was normal because my house's bathroom is right outside my bedroom. The footsteps went up the stairs, down the hall, and stopped right outside my room. It was a little scary, but I assumed it was just one of my parents, for some reason. But there were no more footsteps. The hallway on the second floor of my house was incredibly creaky, so that meant that whoever had previously stepped outside my door a few minutes ago was still standing there.
At this point I was a little scared. I had to use the bathroom, but when I opened the door there was noone there. Somehow, whoever was outside my door had left without making any noise, which was for the most part impossible(even my small, 20 pound dog causes the floor to creak when he walks).
I left the bathroom and went back into my room, considerably scared but I assumed the footsteps were just my imagination playing tricks on me, despite hearing them vividly. And then I heard footsteps inside my room. The door was closed, and also couldn't be opened without ridiculous amounts of creaking. I tried to put the footsteps out of my mind, but every time I managed to put my mind at ease I heard another one.
At this point, I was scared. Scared enough they I couldn't even will myself to look around my room out of fear that I might see something I'd rather not see. My room was completely silent, and the only thing that I could hear was the footsteps, and my heart pounding louder and faster than i thought possible. However, within a few minutes I heard something else. I couldn't really tell what it was at first, but it became clearer and began to sound like a cross between breathing and a soft whisper.
I couldn't make out what was being whispered, but it was clear that something was being said. I tried to shut my senses down and do anything I could to block out the sounds. However, as with the footsteps, every time I managed to block out the whispers, they returned again even louder than before.
I felt the pillow which wascovering my feet shift slightly, so I tried to move my feet to put it back where it was. When I tried to do this, however, I noticed that the edge of my bed where my pillow had shifted to was depressed slightly, and it felt exactly like someone was sitting there.
After about an hour of me lying in bed, more scared than I'd ever been in my life, the whispering, footsteps, and depression at the end of my bed all abruptly stopped. I was relieved, but still very unnerved. I finally willed myself to go to bed after about another hour.ITS SLENDER MAN!
This was in fact the night I learned about Slender man
