3. Too crazy to be true!
This is by far the scariest and strangest thing that's ever happened to me. Ok.... here it goes... One day, or should I say night, at about 10:30, I was up playing on my Xbox, having a little fun, when all of a sudden, the power went out. My basement was completely pitch-black; I couldn't see a thing. Then all I heard was some strange creeping and walking sounds going around my basement, almost like there was somebody else with me. I thought it might have been my brothers or my mom and dad, but I remembered that they were all upstairs watching TV before the power went out, and nobody came downstairs. I listened again, to see if I was just going crazy, but I still heard the sound of walking; the sound of something circling around me. I had a blanket nearby, so I chickened out like crap and tried to hide myself under it, while still hearing that walking sound. But suddenly, the sound faded away, and I felt fine again. But then it started to come back, and I s**t myself. Fortunately, this time, it was my mom coming down the stairs with a couple flashlights. I asked her if anybody was downstairs, but she told me that everyone was upstairs. And for those who think it might of been my dog or cat; I didn't have a pet at the time.

My scariest moment is a bit farfetched, and not many people will beleive it. It happened in 1997, and it was even on the news, in a way.
I was having a dream that I was walking home from school, it was dark and raining, and I had seen a news report earlier that day that there was a killer in the area. I hear a gunshot, so I start running. All I remember of the dream from that point is me walking into the middle of a road and getting hit by a car.
I wake up and i'm floating in about 2 feet of water. I flail around and splash and gain my balance on the muddy ground. It turns out that I was in Keegans Bayou in Houston, Texas. For those of you not from the area, bayous are the most common way to take wastewater and such to the ocean (Houston is known for having hundreds of bayous) so you can immagine just what I was swimming in.
The police set up a full-fledged investigation, but the only valid conclusion was that I was kidnapped or I slepwalked there (I live 30 miles from where I was on the bayou, just below the Highway 59 bridge).
Creepiest thing. No trace of drugs, no phone calls, there was absolutely no evidence. I had a cut on my left cheek, and creepiest of all
I was wearing a jacket that wasn't mine or my girlfriends's at the time.
It seems like you have split personalities and your other personality (which you did not know existed) took control and bought a jacket (or stole one). Then went into the water or some reason.
/sarcasm
You are either making this up or you were sleepwalking.

I do believe in paranormal stuff but there is an explanation. You said in a basement right? if your had teh right tupe of airvents positioned in teh right places you can hear the sounds coming through the vents and tehy sound like they are around you i know. But something like that happened with me once.....I was also stuck in my basement when it was blacked out and i was fumbling for a light switch I was 6 at the time.....And my hand touched something scaly and moist...it felt like wet alligator....then the light scame back on suddenly...and I was in the empty middle of my room...and nobody was in that part of the house....
