OK, I doubt they will have a map "creation program" of some sort for HALO 2 on XBOX, but what about something more along the lines of map "editor". Meaning, you wont be able to create new maps, but just edit the maps already in the game. Below are some of the things I had in mind:
* SPAWN POINTS: You have the option of putting spawn points where you want. For example, an 8 player FFA slayer game played in Derelict where everyone spawns in the center of the map downstairs where the health pack is. For team type games however, you're not allowed to put opposing team respawn points within a certain distance from each other, or near / inside the enemy base. This also means you can place the spawn points of teleports.* ITEM PLACEMENT: You can place all items including, but not limited to, weapons, health, power ups, vehicles, and any other items in this category not yet revealed. Imagine the possibilities. 4 Covenant energy swords inside each team's base. The only sniper rifle in the center of the map, right next to the only ATV. You can even set the respawn times of each item to whatever you want. Pick up the rocket launcher, and 1 second later another one appears. Blow up the Banshee, and you wont get a replacement for another 5 minutes.* INANIMATE OBJECT PLACEMENT: Same as ITEM PLACEMENT, but with trees, boulders, stationary turrets, explosive barrels, and any other items in this category not yet revealed. OK, maybe the explosive barrels and stationary turrets aren't really inanimate objects, but you know what I mean. Also the quantity can be altered, but limited to a reasonable amount. For example, adding about 30 more trees in Blood Gulch can make quite an interesting game, whereas adding 30 stationary turrets in Wizard can be quite chaotic (and fun for 16 player FFA if you really think about it).
