Both polls were supposed to be on the same post but we only get 1 poll per post so I had to split them up. Sorry.

I, like many of you, am concerned about the controls in Halo2. The inclusion of dual wielding pushes out the option to assign JUMP or MELEE to the left trigger. Like I’ve said before, I realise using the left and right triggers for shooting weapons from the left and right hands respectively makes the most sense. However, I’ve played too long and too hard using left trigger to jump and want to keep it that way! –No Compromise.

It is a fact that control settings can ruin a game (no matter how popular) for some people who are used to playing a particular way. I hope that bungie caters for EVERYONE who has played Halo1 using altered button configurations and not just the DEFAULT playing majority.

I started this poll just to gauge how many people actually do play Halo without the default settings (not including inverted, etc, as there is no doubt that this will be included in Halo2).

You will DEFINITELY be able to change your settings in halo 2. THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD CANNOT HAVE THE WORST CONTROLS. ( room echoes )

I'm a little worried as well. All they need to do is make each action in the game assignable to any button. Fully programmable controls is the only way everyone will be happy. They did have a lot of different control set-ups in Halo 1, but the left-handed one was not good (see my sig). I'm just hoping they don't forget about people's need for customization.

Right now, the control issue is my only worry about Halo 2. Everything else is looking awesome.

bungie has confirmed that you can pause the game, go into your settings, and change your control scheme from there. so, no problem to all you special button configuration people.

also, i use the default configuration.

if not fully progamable then allow different aspects of the game to be altered such as allowing you to have a vehicle set of controls, one handed set and a dual wielded set of controls so that you can have defualt in a tank but boxer normally, i like boxer but the tank is a pain to use because the 2nd gun is B

default

I'm still a little worried, mooman, because even if they let us pause the game to change our control settings, it won't matter if they don't provide adequate settings to begin with. It will be nice to change the settings mid-game though. I like to change my sensitivity depending on what weapon types are being used.

lol... anywya, i used to be default.. moved onto Boxer, as it was way more effective, but have slowly moved back to default for a few reasons... One of them is the fact that Halo 2 will have duel wielding like that... and so forth, its not hard to get used to man, it just takes abit of effort and some time of playing... (i changed twice, though once was back to what i was using) the wierd thing is, i adjusted ot the Boxer setting !!!quicker!!! than i did going back to the default. Reason being, that Boxer, as i said, is more effective... (to me)
