Both polls were supposed to be on the same post but we only get 1 poll per post so I had to split them up. Sorry.

I, like many of you, am concerned about the controls in Halo2. The inclusion of dual wielding pushes out the option to assign JUMP or MELEE to the left trigger. Like I’ve said before, I realise using the left and right triggers for shooting weapons from the left and right hands respectively makes the most sense. However, I’ve played too long and too hard using left trigger to jump and want to keep it that way! –No Compromise.

It is a fact that control settings can ruin a game (no matter how popular) for some people who are used to playing a particular way. I hope that bungie caters for EVERYONE who has played Halo1 using altered button configurations and not just the DEFAULT playing majority.

I started this poll just to gauge how many people actually do play Halo without the default settings (not including inverted, etc, as there is no doubt that this will be included in Halo2).

If you are so interested in using your controls why don't you just ignore the dual weilding feature. It's too bad you don't like adapting, sucks for you. Learn to live with the fact that most of the world operates indirectly or directly through democracy.

Besides, it's called "Default" for a reason.

BTW you could just assign the left trigger for melee and forget about dual-weilding. I'm open to change my stance if you can prove there are other buttons on standard S controllers that you can use.

Cheers,
Rogue

i reckon the best way for fitting all the controls in halo 2 is as follows:

Y: swap weapon
Press Y: when your over a weapon do this to duel wield
Hold Y when not over weapon: put guns away so you can run
Black: change grenades
Keep pressing black: Probably swap grenades and then if you have 2 weapons out, put 'em away and get your grenades out

I thinkl its gonna be like that

I use default but I'm sure bungie will find a way to fit all the new stuff in without comprimising what we are used too.
