This may be a very dumb thing to say, but, couldn't they just re-release those games and not just for mac ('cause I know you can just buy the mac games through their store)?
I would love to play those games. (I know there's a way to play Marathon one if you have Aleph one and Marathon 2 or 3, but I can't find Marathon 2 or 3 anywhere)

edit: sorry this wasn't supposed to be a new thread but I pressed some button and the subject got lost so I had to type in a new one...

Bungie would have to rewrite the games to make them work on current hardware.

You can buy Marathon 2 and Infinity as part of the Mac Action Sack at the Bungie Store.

We'd all love it if they re-released them. But that'd be time away from their job of making halo 2, and releasing 10 year old games is a risky business venture :P So instead they did the next best thing: release them on the Mac Action Sack (back when they were still a small, independent company) and they open sourced a lot of their stuff. That way dedicated inviduals could not only "re-release" their stuff and make it more comptatical for today's hardware, but it could be improved upon as well. Wanta play marathon in third person? You can now! Want to play in online? GO for it! Want new and improved level designer software to port Goldeneye levels to marathon? Now you can. Maybe if we keep complaining and reminsicencing about marathon and PiD we can get Bungie to do something special . . . . ;)
