*John surveys the devastation, but there is no enemy in sight short of the dead S&D Elite Squad. John takes one step forward and sees a small light flicker and realizes hes been spotted. Suddenly a bling flash and he goes rolling. Shoots back and destoys a small weapon protruding out of the wall. He realizes it as some kind of security system problably, but shurely this isnt what did this devastation. A moment of pause....and John starts to hear and feel a deep rumbling from within the walls that surround him. All around. John knows now a new enemy lurks in his midst, and they or it does not like to be awakened.*

sorry man, but this would be another sort of "annoying" enemy with no personality, and you would most likely get used to killing them, as they would only appear in certain places!

so auto human weapons might work, but why would they be shooting you in sp?

The only real spot I would want them in is either by the spawns (like the origional Team Fortress did) or in the spawns (Like TFC did)..

They could be indestructable (ones outside of spawn don't do much damage btw, they slowly kill you off so you cannot stay next to spawns for too long), and it would at least help[ prevent Spawn Campers (hopefully, we'll both get our own private spawn rooms, each with multiple exits.

But, if spawn rooms are included (at least in some maps), sentry guns should be in them to keep people from just running into them and shooting everyone up as they spawn.
