I disagree with this. Lets be honest, the gaming industry is here to make profit. Microsofts goal is profit. No crap.

It wouldn't take too sharp of an analyst to realize Halo CE with live capability would make mad $$$, especially with some tweaks. You're right! You, me, and everybody along with their grandma has realized that already.

Picture this:
Halo CE with current gen graphics and xbox live functionality and online co-opt campaign play. Throw in a few extra multiplayer maps. Leave the campaign levels with master chief exactly the way it is, but add two levels where you play as sgt. Johnson fighting off the covenant and the flood as described in the chapters of the Halo novel "The Flood".What great ideas, except that once again, everyone and their grandma has already thought of these things.

Would the whole game be re-written? Yes. But the game engine is already designed as well as all the game design/plot and developement. You may have a Masters in Business Management, and yes, you might have a good idea about how successful a remake of Halo may be (although I don't think I agree about that myself), but I doubt you are a game designer (not saying I am, you probably know more than me), and from what I know, re-writing the game and the netcode for all the things you proposed would be extremely difficult, if not impossible in some way or another, and take a large amount of time. If it could be done in the fraction of time and money and surpass the success of Halo 3, wouldn't Microsoft have done something about it by now? Have they? I think not.

That project would make MAD money for Microsoft. In fact, I bet it would outsell Halo 3 for a fraction of the cost and time that went into Halo 3.
Microsoft/Bungie, feel free to use my idea :)I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but to reiterate, it's not your idea. What you say does make sense but has already been thought of by many for the most part, and I'm sure Microsoft and Bungie have already thought about it as well (I'm not sure about the success of sales, however). Is it going to happen though? Most likely not, and if it does, not for a while.
