11th page WoOt!

Nice update. stoked for the new maps.

I love the massage done to all the people upset about different "issues" ... even though no resolve to those issues is coming any time soon.

Rock Band >Halo 3>COD4>everything ever

Live to kill. Kill the bad, and save the good. Or just shut up and shoot something.

Hi all..

Do you know what, pay the amount Bungie want, take every word Bungie says as true. Do you honestly believe that accountants have told a company what they should be selling at? I run 1 company about to be 2, and my accountants do what I say they should, they dont tell me what to sell at.. So again bungie side step an issue, Pay to play....

Have fun guys and girls.

That was the best update I could hope to read.

Right now a significant amount of work, time and research is going into things to make the game play and perform better than it already does. We don’t consider Halo 3 to be “perfect” and we will continually investigate ways to improve the gameplay and performance. When we see issues, whether it be something as simple as a matchmaking inconsistency, or something as serious as a control problem, we’ll consider the pros and cons of fixing those issues and where possible and prudent, we’ll fix them.

Thankyou bungie. I mean it sincerely. I believe Halo 3's potential to be near-infinite, so the ongoing attention to the game is a worthwhile investment. There are a few things here and there that could use looking into, and your commitment to do this makes me proud to be a fan of halo and am very glad that I bought, play, and will continue to play this game for the forseeable future.

Thanks for the update but could we get some more images of the maps? or perhaps a saved film?

Halo > Sex

It's been 9 years of Halo... I wouldn't change it for the world.

All I have to say, is what the hell is a latte?

Frankie. Thanks for the update. The community complains alot, but we love the game and it does need some fixes. Thanks for all of Bungie for their hard work.

Hi,

Yeah I read that, but he didnt say on what company? Bungies accountants or MS? And Hes trying to tell us that accountants are telling the boss or who ever what price they should be selling at.. I keep saying this, $10 isnt much,,, eveyone can see that, but add it all up.. Look at how many people are online right now, and add it all up.... They can still make money on these maps, even if they charged $5 or even $1.50

Yes they can make money on the maps, and where is the inherent problem in that? Profit, in and of itself, is not evil. Bungie works hard on their games, and on their maps--which are, by the way, separate products--and deserve to be paid for both. And if you don't want to pay for the maps, you know they'll be free in the spring (if you read, that is)--so the only thing you actually pay for is your own impatience.

Stop your fantasizing about Bungie being some evil monster for you the knight-in-shining-armor to rally against. There are no monsters here, only hollow windmills for self-righteous Don Quixotes like yourself to slay with much sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I have never heard of the Easter egg? What is that referring to? I enjoyed the update. But have to be honest, got lost when it came to that portion of it. I apologize for my ignorance. If you had a chance to inform me that would be much appreciated. Thanks for all of your great work, entertaining the masses and all.

You know Bungie should come up for DLC a Cobra Commander Helmet 2 version. The one where he sports after being transformed back into a man after being a snake. Also the body armour as well.

I skipped about 11 pages of all the thread replies, but the one playlist of Halo 2 that i absolutely loved, : Team Swat. Any chance of seeing Team Swat anytime soon?

Also, why is it that Bungie takes the stance of no old maps in Halo 3? in my opinion, Halo 2 had some of the greatest maps ever created. Cmparing Zansabar to Last Resort: for all Last Resorts detail it still demolished the base. What was so great about Zansabar was that you could easily defend it. with Last Resort there are so many ways to get into the Base that if gets unbelievably frustrating trying to defend.

HIgh Ground: I love the idea of High ground. a base with bunkers and a big 50 Cal. at the top. but you have this great base and bungie tore it apart. on the defensive side, there is no reason to even use the front bunker. your vision is limited through the small windows, and the huge opening through the side makes it nothing but a free invitation to the base. The bunker should have been on the other side of the base overlooking the road to the main gate. thats the most frustrating thing about high ground. A base that is unprotectable. it would have been sweet to have the bunker in a wide view postion with either 1 or 2 50 Cal. mounted machine guns guarding the entrance. almost similar to, dare i reference another videogame, Return to Castle Wolfenstein The Beach.

Like SnowBound, that is truelly its own brandnew map. Pretty much undeniable.

Hate Construct, absolutely hate it.

Guardian, very similar to Lockout, i like lockout better though. I think Guardian is scaled smaller than Lockout. Plus there isn't really any good high ground sniping postions.

Look foward to it. And for you kids that b*tch about the price, just get mommy to buy you the maps. For all of us working class players the cost is small for what you get.

Issue by issue:

Team Swat: I think that's the one they refer to as Team Hardcore.
No old maps: They said that? I didn't see that. They didn't specifically say there would be old ones, but nor did they say there wouldn't. In fact:
...but we’re not done yet. It’s safe to say that we have plenty of incredible new maps lined up and maybe one or two revisited classics.
Last Resort/High Ground: I think the idea is for the bases not to be easily defensible. Nor is it for them to be impossible to defend. Yes, there are a lot of entry points. Welcome to the game.
Snowbound: baller, agree.
Construct: not my favorite, but "hate" is such a strong word...
Guardian: ditto.

Amen, Sp Dark Killer. I can finally stop listening to Rush Limbaugh for the latest and greatest hate mongering strategies to hurl at the Halo gods for their lack of real communication with the community. Of course, I know realize I may need to start listening to Dr. Phil so I can learn how to control my anger over trivial videojuego issues.

Finally a real update.

I'm probably twice your age, punk!

Oh, and say hi to your Mom.

Great update. Looking forward to the new maps.... that is when my broken 360 gets repaired. I've been waiting a week for them to send me the damn shipping box!!!!!!! I can feel my Halo skills draining away.

RighteousTyrant,

Just to make a point, I have been talking about this for some time. No where have I said that £10 is alot, the point Im trying to make is the point that Bungie could charge $1.50 and still make money on these maps... they dont have to start to rip the fans off. And no where have I attacked anyone, So you show your true self by attacking me.

Every post I have made I have said pay for them or dont, that is upto you. Pay to play its called. And so many people have thanked Bungie for makeing maps... would you thank your Landlord or the companie that charge you for water or gas? It all makes me laugh.., Halo fan boys pay or not, it really is upto you, But I will bet next time bungie make new maps, the "accountants" (Yeah right) will ask for more...

Hey here's an idea...instead of having as many Bungie cronies as you can possibly throw in make useless comments about the maps and the creation thereof, why not have a REAL interview, answering REAL questions with REAL you know, ANSWERS. That can prevent the whole "explaining and apologizing" thing, which is the purpose that this weekly update serves. Seriously, 95% of the answers given in that interview was stupid babble anyway. Grow up and you won't have this problem in the future. Not trying to be an -blam!- about it - just trying to shed some light on the situation, if you will.

Maybe one or two classics... thats not enough for me.

80% of all Halo 2 maps are legends.

to name my top 5: Turf, Sanctuary, Ivory Tower, Headlong, Burial Mounds. oh and the list is quite longer depending on playlist. Personally I love Team Swat. Whenever Bungie decides to release the Team Swat Playlist, i will be completely devoted to Team Swat.

one Mention. In the beginning of Halo 2 I played alot of big team battle and big team Clan matches. The cooliest game to play was either capture the flag and assult on Headlong. a group of 8 players could really rally together and defend that building. it was a blast. is there a map on Halo 3 that can offer the same organized cooperation? I haven't played a big team game yet. mostly because none of my friends are ever playing Halo 3 and i don't go into big teams with people i don't know. i could get stuck with dimwits. If any of you guys want to send me a friend request i would like to team up and kick some ass. I just lookin for people who play Halo 3. I don't suck, obviously look at my stats. UPSTAGESQUEEKS is my gamertag.
