Then you're hoping for too much. It's much smarter to pay $100 more so you don't have to bother with a new video card for the next three or four years, but if you by a mid-ranged card, you're going to have to replace it in a year or two. So either pay $300 now or pay $200 now and then $200 later.
You get what you pay for. Remember that.
