Poll: Should there be EUROPE/US only options within Halo 3? [closed]
Total Votes: 37
I work some irregular hours, some horrific hours might I add, when I come home after work I like to enjoy some Halo 3.
Logging on to xbl to play H3 after 11-12 at night in the UK means that I will predomantly be playing American players, which in its self isnt a bad thing, if all things where considered equal, but it's not. I've had to tolerate some of the worst games of Halo I've ever experienced because of the massive delay or host advantage given to American players, I'm on an NTL 50Mb cable connection so before you all begin to say it's my connection or router, lets rule this out of the option list.
I'm not blaming Americans for degrading my online enjoyment of this game, I simply feel that seeing as geographic regions in the world have their own network subnets, Bungie should intoduce a EUROPE only or US only option, I think this would certainly ease the frustration that must be had when thousands of people experience what I've been experiencing for many weeks now.
From what I've been told by M$ staff XBL works on regional servers, so someone connecting to their XBL account in texas may have an excellent connection to that regional server, while I'm over here, connecting to the UK, also on an excellent connection, the difference is that while we both have 'excellent' connections there is still the physical distance to be covered that means that playing people from all over the world brings not so much enjoyment but frustration and disgust at this game.
I can't be the only one who feels as if I'm being let down by the lack of a Europe/US only option in this game, surely in the name of fair competition this should be included, anyone else fed up with it?
Cheers
