O.k. this is weird,

how is it that Sarge (Sgt. Johnson) is now officially coming back in Halo 2?

I mean, that explosion at the end of the 'The Maw' was devastating, and when you complete it on Legendary, we ACTUALLY SEE sarge right next to the ship. How the hell is that possible????

Plus, when MC asks Cortana:

"Did anyone else make it?"

She replies,

"Just dust and Echoes, we're all thats left"

Please explain.

um, well yeah, that part of the story doesnt exactly make a whole lot of sense. Sorry, I dont know what to tell you about Sgt. Johnson surviving. Maybe a group of marines escaped the Pillar of Autumn and made it to Earth...we dont know much of the story line after Halo, so maybe we can hope for some answers in Halo 2.

If you read the books, you'll findout how John and Cortana make it back to Earth in time for the Covenant invasino without a Slipspace drive, and where Johnson comes back in. The bit where she says "there's nothing out there" does make sense if you read them.

Trying so hard not to give away any spoilers lol.

Hehehe yeah...we could just tell them why the Flood can't infect him...but they'll just have to find out or go read up :P

That bit with the Elite and Sarge was just an Easter egg, not meant to continue the story...

Play as a team win as a team or die as a team!

Maybe he has a twin or clones come on its the future. And maybe some how something happen that teleported him back to Earth. Maybe the 343 Guilty Spark had something to do with.

The vid. clip at the end of the maw in legendary is just for kicks. If you read the Halo books and in this case the third book Halo First Strike it tells the story of how he survives and when you read it, the way Sarge survives is very logical. and I also recomend the Halo books they are a great read, and they also fill in alot of gaps left in the story told in the game.

Nope. Actually the Sarge is alot more important than many people beleive....he's actually the best chance we have of fighting the Flood (if they show up again :P ). All I would say though is go buy First Strike and find out why!

Sgt. Johnson suffers from a rare syndrom called I believe "Borems Syndrom." If you have read the books and see how everything actually happens then you will find out why Johnson survives the viscous attack by the Flood in the level, "343 Guilty Spark." Because of Sgt. Johnson's disease(which he recieved from the radiation from a large amount of plasma grenades exploding near him) his nervous system was extremely different and too messed up for the Flood to use him as a Combat Form Flood. So since he couldn't be used by the Flood he survived the attack by them, and if you read the books you will find out that he escapes on a lone UNSC Pelican Dropship along with a few other military personel and his journey in the Halo universe continues.
