I wonder if you just need to be at about the same speed as a vehicle to jack it, rather it only going slow to steal

That would make sense given the physics collision rules. I like that idea though it would difficult to pull off. You decelerate almost instantly when you pop out of a ghost or warthog in Halo1.

I just might be able to leap off a ledge and jack a passing banshee....

I've been desperately wanting to try that ever since I heard that all vehicles were jackable. Oh damn. If you could pull that off it would be the ultimate in taunts.

"Say Jim, you remember that time...."

They wouldnt just lose their ride, they would be dead because of falling from such a height.

I don't really know how you could hi-jack a banshee...the driver is kind of covered up soooooo the hi-jacker would just bounce off the hood and either die on impact or fall to certain death.

ok so MC is running and a banshee makes a swoop at him. He is running to out run it and then jumps forward, does a half a turn and grabes onto the bottum of the banshee. It pulls up and has no idea he is on, he opens the hatch, graps the guy by the back or w/e and throws him out.
Im over here on my couch thinkin, SWEET!

I think if there is a ghost or whatever next to you and you are in the passenger seat of a warthog with a driver and you are going same speed i think you can jump out and take the other vehicle

Nope, the only way to hijack a vehicle (only a small vehicle like a ghost, warthog, or ATV) is when it is moving slowly or not at all. Sorry, but that's the way bungie made it for us :)

Do you know that for sure? I've actually heard from a number of sources that all vehicles will be jackable (hell a tank should be eaiser). As for speed, if you are running backwards and the vehicle is going just slightly faster than would be possible to jack from standing it is possible this could work. Speed is completley relative after all. As for jumping out of a passenger seat and hijacking, I don't think it would work simply because of the the press X confusion. I suppose if Bungie inteded this to work they might make it more dynamic and realize what you are trying to do.

I don't think you have to just be moving slow, don't take everything literally, this game is still in development
