1. Circuit City? Best Buy? EB Games? I think a variety of retail chains might have it.

2. It's only twenty bucks. Go for it.

3. A bunch of stores that sell PC games, such as Best Buy.

4. Do you want to host a server or use a dedicated one? Hosting a game is as easy as creating one.

5. Do you have a firewall up? Did you forward your ports?

6. Of course.

7. From time to time, but not any recently that I can think of.

who says you have to be an ace to have fun?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Go here and sign up.(for faster download speeds, and no waiting)

Then go back to that page and select the "halocesetup_en100.exe" file and download it. Then install it.

Then download the "halocepatch_107.exe" and install it.(to get the current version of CE)

Then you should be set, unless you are running Vista. If you are, then somebody please provide the vista patch link for him.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

A dedicated server is when you run a server on your computer, but you cannot play on it, so that the server has access to more resources than if you were playing.I'm gonna say that a dedicated server is probably not something you would want to run, becuase then you wouldn't be able to play with your freind, so don't worry about it.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Halo CE aka Custom Edition is a free version of Halo PC that includes, you guessed it, custom maps and custom weapons, etc. It is user made and controlled.

Honestly, if I were you, I would play Halo PC first. Lots more players and more stable learning curve for leading your shots. One thing you have to learn is how to lead shots based upon your ping, as well as overall server ping.

first off, welcome to the Maw.

Custom Edition is a free download , that requires orriginal Halo PC disk to play, that enables you to play Custom made maps maps. This meaning that other people have made maps, and your able to download and play on them. One of the best websites to get Custom Edition and all these maps is:
Halomaps.org
An example of the most famous map is Coldsnap, a huge (a few Halo-kilometres) map in which you fly around in Longswords, Jets, and pelicans. Although I don't prefer it, it's still a popular one.

To play on a custom map:
-Download it off a website such as Halomaps.org
-Take this file, and put it into your 'maps' folder in Halo CE folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps)
-Sometimes Halo CE will take a while to load when you first 'install' a map into it. Patience is a virtue, or so I've been told.

The correct URL is http://microsoft.com/games/halo/downloads.aspx. It's requiring you to download the 1.07 update.

As long as you have the update, it's fine. It still says it even after the update. Calm down.
I already explained on how to get custom maps. If you don't understand a part of it, just say which part of the process.

My First suggestion would be learn to use windows explorer, based on your problems lol.

As for maps, try browsing and see what you need. Or join a clan that plays regularly on certain match. Some mainstays include:
Siege
Hugeass (map sucks, people play it though)
Yoyorsat Island
A couple other I've played that were truly amazing artistic achievements but didn't play well gameplay wise, or vice versa. My map Idea would've made all of these ones moot but I'm a lazyy foo that doesn't want to texture it. I was going to wait for Halo 2 Vista to make my maps but turns out that the community sucks, the sys specs are too high, and even though I have 3ds max the map editor doesn't have the tools I need. Props Hiredgun!!

I never really used Internet Explorer until i found out about Firefox, it's way better imo. Also, if you go to halomaps.org and look on the front page, it'll show the most played on maps, and the most downloaded maps.

dude it's the easiest thing in the planet
you Dig through your C drive, go to My computer, Program files, Microsoft Games, Halo CE, and then a folder called "maps" (then, save it in your favorites on the taskbar up top) then once you unzip the map file, you click on it, hold down the mouse key, drag it over to the "maps" folder, and let go of the mouse. Rlly Rlly Ezy.
