It's all relative. What's the point of paying 60 bucks for a football video game when you can just grab some friends and a football?
What's the point of buying Guitar Hero when you - oh wait, the game's probably cheaper.

Anyway, the games as discs are dirt cheap, but I can definitely see the advantages of having the game on your hard drive.

Guitar Hero is immensely fun and entertaining but playing actual guitar gives a much more richer experience than any rhythm game can offer.

Also, you're not the first to whine about this. How about you look at the dozens of threads posted on the same topic in this forum, huh?
