I'd like to see this special kind of mine that the master chief keeps using in the books, even if its just in the main game as it'd be too powerful on multiplayer. maybe a remote explosive of some kind too though it'd be too good for CTF.

does it have to be a type of grenade, or something that can be used inplace of a grenade?

- MAC Cannon strike beacon ( =P )
- Anti Vehicle mines (they only det if vehicles get to close, or shoot/to close to explosion)

Any ideas for things that go in the left hand of our good buddie Master Chief are open for discussion. Personally a third grenade type such as flashbangs or EMP nades would be a nice addition but might congest the little black button too much to be useful.

I dont think Halo 2 needs new grenades. The ones we have are perfect.

Maybe a cluster-grenade (for lack of a better term) could work. In campaign it works well throwing a plasma gren and a frag in quick succession to the effect of both going off at once thus covering a larger radius. A frag that breaks appart and spreads out on impact into smaller, less powerful grens to detonate symulteneously would have the effect of delivering a softening blow to a larger area as opposed to a single, lethal, explosion.

Frag and plasma..... i dont want to be scrolling 50 types of nade when in the fire of action....

I dont want stupid nades like : flash , ecm, Fluffy puff, water, lighting, C45 FV89-HY MK4 Disruption Grenades

an excellent point but to counter this just say you can only carry two different types so you must choose wisely in the game, or just keep throwing the ones you don't want until you can pick up the others.

A grenade that has needler rounds in it; a sort of covie frag grenade if you will. Or, more interestingly (this is in a book i read once) a grenade that lets out very, very poisonous wasps that attack anything in sight. That won't happen, of course- it doesn't fit the human ballistics or covenant plasma presets- but who knows? Maybe spark's guys or the flood will have more organic weapons. A man can dream!

There's no real point in having flash-bang 'nades, since the normal ones will have that effect anyway if there are any enemies nearby who don't die in the blast. So just stick to the two types.

I hope they add a smoke grenade that you can fire at people and escape when they're firing at you... that'd be cool

No definitely not smoke grenades. Smoke grenades can stay in Rainbow Six. As long as you hold two grenade types at a time I am alright with more grenade types but I don't want to have to scroll grenade types.

no new grenades or any of that stuff...remote grenades....its just stupid and will slow the game down....u want halo 2 to halo nice and fast paced thats how most ppl liked it....not all these slow tactics....campin and such...i hate campers...ask any1 whos played with me on rainbow six....
