Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

As long as human beings still have moms to insult, I will still be here. By the way, prommie, your momma has so much back fat that it looks like she has four legs.

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

Im glad to see a lot of you are optimistic about this.

I think there will be a point, inevitably where the community IS in shambles and people are attacking other people left right and center, but given some period of time - all of us will find our rightful place.

I.E Marathon fans are still Marathon fans and don't go around bashing Halo fans everywhere. (though it does happen, but I rarely see it.)

And eventually, a new fanbase will arise, some of those people will even be Halo fans, like myself I'm sure...and our number one game will always be Halo, but whatever Bungie throws at us, I'm sure we'll warm up too, and henceforth everyones happy for the most part. But thats what the banhammer is for if severe ruckus is caused =D

You have no idea.
I was a part of the bungie forums 5 years ago, this isn't going to die.
I miss when disembodied soul used to regularly post, and I remember the first bungie update, I remember the old forums with their marathon glory, and I remember the bungie forums before this abomination(this is like the third total remake). And I remember NEO117 as will any old timer.

COD 4 is such a better game, and what is this being a "bungie fan" since whne do people become fans of game designers, i thought it was the game, but meh!

In the immortal words of Shishka...

I was here when there was nothing, and I will be hear when there is nothing...I will put the chairs upside down on the table, turn off the lights, and lock the Universe behind me when I leave..."

While it is true that Shishka left, the ideal still stands. I just hope I'm not alone to live up to the dogma...when the time comes.

Come for the game, stay for the community, right?

I wouldn't be here unless I was a Bungie fan. I've gone past the Halo aspect of this community, myself, I'm here for Bungie, not for Halo.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

The Bungie community has survived since 1991. I really doubt it'll go away anytime soon.

And as Pezza said: "I wouldn't be here unless I was a Bungie fan. I've gone past the Halo aspect of this community, myself, I'm here for Bungie, not for Halo."

Sure, Halo brought me in, but I stayed because of the community and because of Bungie, not because of Halo.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Two quotes from this thread sum up my opinion. "Halo fans will leave; Bungie fans will stay" and "Come for the game, stay for the community."

When I started my first account back in the summer of 2004, I made it to talk about Halo. Then I lost my internet and that account died. Some time between losing that account and creating this one, I had become a Bungie fan. So no, I won't be leaving when Bungie announces something other than Halo. In fact, I've been looking forward to that day for almost three years.

I agree with Aku. I came in winter over '04 with my first account (just a week before Halo 2 came out). Of course I came to talk about Halo and Halo 2 but once I got here I really started to like the community. Actually, I quit coming with my very first account because I'd apparently agreed with the wrong person. My inbox got hatemail and I was fairly new. So I've got first hand experience with "regulars" hating someone and making them not like the forums (but that's neither here nor there). Later on, I made a new account (which you guys would know as "True Underdog"). After that, though, it was smooth sailing. I did some looking into on some of the other Bungie games and I can't wait to see what new game they bring us. :D

On the day of the return of Shishka, the end of the Universe begins anew.
