You're not the first to complain, and most likely you won't be the last. Plenty of people are upset, dude, we don't need another thread about this. :)

Besides, Achievements shouldn't decide whether or not you're enjoying a game. If they do, then you shouldn't play the game. Gamers have been playing for a long time for the reward of the experience rather than some almost artificial indicators of success and progress.

i like achievements, they make the game more challenging. like in halo3 i wouldnt care about terminals/skulls if there wasn't achievements for them...and bungie could of said like hey, theres no achievys, online, xbox guide.

No doubt about it, I enjoy gaining Achievements myself and they do offer challenges, but quite often people play titles merely to unlock Achievements. If they're having fun, so be it, but I value the experience much more. Even if the game did have Achievements, I'm not sure I would give a crap considering I already own the game. Remember, the demographic for Xbox Originals are the people who never played these titles.

Also, some developers tend to give lousy "Achievements" in a game, making them absurdly easy to acquire, thus eliminating the entire purpose of having them in the first place.

Unlikely, but we'll just have to wait and see.

It's not Bungie's fault.

Microsoft confirmed this weeks ago.

I understand this knowledge doesn't help you any now, but MS did make it clear that the game was going to be exactly as it was on the disk. Like anyone can be it seems you're a victim of your own (not entirely unreasonable) assumptions. It's just not a good business decison for them to go back and update it.
