Ok I haven't seen this discussed on the forum, so if it has already been discussed then bear with me. I am not a huge scholar of bungie timetables etc so my idea could be off, but I have an idea about what ilovebees is really supposed to be.
First off, if you haven't taken the time to hear all the chapters in order, I recomend doing so first. They are very well done, and add a very enjoyable insight into the Halo universe. I love how they captured the fear of the covenant in lives of people who are in normal enough circumstances to make it more tangible to me. I really enjoyed them. Ok so with that mentioned, read on if you have already heard the stories or aren't worried aobut an ilovebees spoiler.
Ok so at the end, we find out that the AI construct who we know as Mellisa, Jasmine or whatever the other name was, was broken into different constructs when the apocalipso was trashed. Some of her went back in time and found itself inside "old hardware." She says that people helped her and kept her safe through that time, and that they were like a family or like her crew. So I think ilovebees.com is the representation of that AI construct. The countdown is the countdown to the events where she is reunited in chapter 11 of the story. The site is meant to look like an average joe's site that was taken over by some program, and that is what I think it is. So mellissa is saying that the makers of ilovebees.com took care of her all that time. It seems interesting that in the recruits portion of the page it refers to the different teams as crews. Somewhere in the page it talks about how she can be found on the internet when a page cannot be found. Most of ilovebees.com has the title along the top "Error 404-Not Found-The server has not found anything matching the Requested URL".
I suspect that the covenant think that the Ark is on earth simply because that is the origen of the signal that was sent by the artifact. I thought I heard stuff that would imply that, but it was when there was all that music playing and Jersey was trying to get it turned off. So I couldn't hear specifics there, but that is my guess. So maybe the covenant thought that earth had the ark because of the artifact's signal. Who knows.
It does however lend more weight to the impression that Halo 2 was initially going to be a massive invasion of earth before plans changed. I love the way Halo2 came out, but it was initially dissappointing because I expected something different. Now I love it and am very excited for Halo 3, but this does add more weight to the feeling that earth was going to be on the verge of getting glassed in the original plans for Halo2. That is the impression I get by the way it ends with characters in NY, Boston and Oakland if I recall correctly all hearing warning sirens about the covenant.
Anyway, those were just some ideas that came to mind. I would love to hear any other theories about ilovebees.com information for the story. It certainly does leave the possability of Cortana going rampant quite open for the future though I hope they don't do that to her.
