Frankly, I just can't comprehend the stupidity of some of these posts.
Let's rewind a bit...
As a kid, my dad and I played Super Mariokart GP and Super Mario Brothers religiously... We'd go to the arcade and spend ten dollars playing Primal Rage every Sunday... For me, I want that same thing with my son. Think of the future you fools, retire? On one million dollars! HA! At todays interest rates, you're getting a maximum of 20,000 a YEAR! With inflation, you'd have to pull from the principal amount, meaning you'd run out of money.
When I'm sixty, living on a private island because I've EARNED billions, my grandkid is going to run up to me and say, "Grandpa, I was reading on the net that the best-selling videogame ever was Halo 2, and that it came out right around when you were my age... did you ever play it?" And at that point, I will have my servant fetch me my Xbox, stored away for such an occasion, and one of my several copies of Halo 2, and I will share with my children and their children what a true game looks like. He may have his virtual reality, or his DDR Max 37, but nothing will ever compare to the groundbreaking, record-setting, awe-inspiring glory of the game of OUR time, Halo 2. You are trying to tell me you would give all that up for some two year fling with a million dollars?
I'd wager that Halo 2 has already PREORDERED enough copies to rank it among the highest selling games of the year, if not of all time. People won't forget Halo 2, just like High School English teachers make students watch Gone With the Wind, videogame design instructors 50 years from now will be using Halo 2 as a model of the best of the best.
The Xbox has more than 200 available games, and has been released for almost two and a half years now, yet Halo is still the game of choice. And I have some news for you, guys and gal...
Halo 2 is even better...
Get your heads on straight, get your trigger fingers ready, and get your Live accounts primed, because Halo 2 is going to rock your world...

Oh, and just to put something into perspective, Halo has sold well over three million copies, as well as, no doubt, hundreds of thousands of Xboxes. At thirty plus dollars per copy, Halo has grossed in excess of ninety million dollars. While Microsoft invested hefty sums in Bungie to produce such a spectacular launch title, the game has still been wildly profitable. Bill Gates didn't become the richest man in the world by being stupid.
$90,000,000 gross, not including merchendise > your $1,000,000 offer
Sorry, you lose... You may be able to buy a 60 inch plasma screen with 650 watt Klipsch surround sound speakers, but you won't be able to play Halo 2 on them! I however will be content working for minimum wage and playing Halo 2 on my 27" flat screen beauty, earned the hard way.
[/Totally unnecessary rant, since you are all getting Halo 2 anyway because there is no million bucks... although that would make for a truly sickening reality tv show, which would most likely be produced by Mark Burnett... ;) ]
