A new feature that Bungie has added to Halo 2 is the ability to kick a driver out of his/her seat and get in, stealing their ride. But a skill of the Master Chief's that the Fall of Reach mentioned, the skill of stealing weapons from enemy hands, isn't part of Halo's gameplay. So now that forced vehiclejacking is a reality, is the thought of being able to take weapons from other people a possibility?

its a possibility. but what would happen if you had 2 weapons already? maybe when you take there weapon you drop the one you have. but what about the other dude now hes stuck with one weapon? if he gets his gun taken away again he doesnt have a gun who knows what can happen. (the other team slowly aproaches him with shotguns)

Well, it would be extremely -blam!- if you could just walk up to someone and press B to steal their weapon while they are shooting it at you.

But maybe if you could come from behind a person and hold him hostage AND THEN take his gun. Maybe.

I can already steal a guy's weapon in Halo1. It's called "killing him".
To be honest, it's a silly idea, making in close melee almost stupid. You'd rush in, grab his weapon, he'd grab yours, then you'd want to grab it back....

If you could take a guy's gun from behind... why? Why not melee him and just pick the gun up?

were talken spartans or elites vs spartans or elites, in mp in which are the best of the best of both human and covenant in which im pretty sure they would be able to keep possesion of their gun

No. That would suck. I don't want halo 2 to turn into a splinter cell.

Good job, think of that one by yourself. Anyway, disarming is a good idea, it worked in the Matrix video game, although that game did suck.

Perfect dark for n64 had this Feature and i found it to be really anoying, so i hope that bungie would ither make it more challanging to do so or scrap the idea.

Yeah, stealing a weapon would just be way over the top. BAD IDEA!!

  • 06.08.2004 4:28 PM PDT

There once was a Master named Chief
who liked to smash Covenant
teeth,
He filled out a docket,
And picked up a rocket
Which brought all the bad guys to grief.
this writen by THE MAN Frankie. from his OXM days

that would be so SWEET!
JUST KIDDING.

Just kill the guy and take his weapons. Don't wanna pull of some crazy blinding perfect dark disarming while the guy is making you dizzy as hell and taking your goods away.

Seriously. The simulants in Perfect Dark did next to nothing but try and disarm you wildly. It doesn't flow into the gameplay properly and it's annoying as hell.

i think in downloadable content, or more probably, Halo 3, that there should be more acrobatics involved. you should be able to go third-person and climb up walls and stuff.. imagine hanging from a pipe in the ceiling and dropping down behind someone as they pass by, melee'ing them in the back of the head.. i know it sounds Splinter Cell-ish, but i think it'd be fun.
