‘The conscious is cancerous if allowed to linger’

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

I was thinking it'd be good to be able to post filesharte topics in groups and IMG codes for pictures on bungie.net or at the very least pictures from the users fileshare in groups.

What are your thoughts?

How about a new BB Code?

[screenshot=18593]

The number being the id. If no Screen-shot is found with the id then a simple "Screen-shot not found" message is shown. Make sure it only accepts integer values to stop people's shenanigans.

It would create a small thumbnail which when clicked would open one of those pop-up image viewers that Bungie use.

I realize Bungie removed the Image BB Code a long time ago due to abuse, but this could not be abused.

That is a wonder of an idea! I like it.

It wouldn't flow well with tons of screenshots all over the place. Plus, spam would suck so much more.
Honestly, I can rarely ever see where posting an image is actually relevant in the public forums, other than the actual Halo 3 Files Forums.
The only way I could see a screenshot tag working is if the tag worked like the signatures do now - mouseover the link and it shows up.

For groups, though, I started to think and decided that I'd like a fileshare for each group. Admins can decide who can publish to the group fileshare and if the share is visible to the members outside of the group. Now, to avoid people making groups for extra space, the group fileshare would technically be references to the file share of the user who published it (as in, looks the same as individual fileshares but every file relies on actually being in a user's fileshare, otherwise it has no reference and it deleted). In the same way, admins of that group could also publish any file on the share to their group's forum.
I was thinking that that would be the easiest way to go about things.

That is sort of what I was thinking. It would be awesome especially for Forge based groups.
