For some odd reason I just thought about building a computer.Does anyone have any info on the process,cost and other things?

You need to find a site that flogs PC parts. Usually it costs less than purchasing a ready-made computer...but you'll probably want the latest technology.

Putting it together is really quite simple if you study other computers.

My dad is an engenieer/ techncion (used to be) and he made one from scratch. It could actully be cheaper from what he's done, buts its a bit of a hassle trying to find all the parts.

See the reason it's a crazy idea is because I don't really know anything computers.As for parts I know of a TigerDirect.com store nearby.

Well it was mostly just a thought I got from a commercial I saw.It was on books on how to build things like PC's,and arcade machines.You've probably seen it on G4.

Get an old computer and soup it up with the essential parts. You don't have to bulid up from scratch. My brother took our old computer and gave it new parts, a couple fans, and other stuff. Now it's out-of-date, but it was really nice at the time.
