It wouldn't surprise me. I don't care though. I think people should check out Bioware's Mass Effect forum and see that developers can actually talk about problems.

So your saying 'Halo suck, Mass effect rocks' ?

If so then why are you on the Halo forums?

Please refer to the above example of unintelligent conversation. This person didn't bother to read properly before he replied. He completely misses the point. Any criticism of anything about Halo 3 gets this typical, inane response.

Yes. It has its flaws, but it is a great game.

Just kidding.

You insult us by calling us donkeys so you probably deserve all the inane responses that you are going to get.

I'd say my estimate of the average forum poster intelligence was accurate. Care to lift the average a little with a proper post?

Damn, I wrote a nice big response and hit back. Try again:

I'm sure the Bioware forums have their share of idiots. We just happen to have a bigger share.

I've played matches with Bungie employees before, and I am quite sure that from the discussions I've heard, they are listening to critisism. The fact that these forums move very fast means that replies Bungie employees make are buried pretty quickly.

And on the topic of our moderation, we need to be a lot tougher because we have a whole lot more members (and a vast majority of them are immature). The situation is analygous to a riot, in comparison to the rather loud but tame party over at Bioware. Of course we have to be a little more liberal in our moderation. If that gives the impression that we're "swelling our chests from illusion of control", then so be it. I won't lose sleep over it.

I chose to insult you in an unintelligent way because I thought it was a funny idea.

But if you want to be all serious then fine.

Why are you even posting on this forum right now? If its so much better at the Bioware forums (and I love Bioware to death) then it seems a little childish to come back over here and wave it in our faces.

Just go to their forums and stay over their if thats what you want.

Now, as much as I love the forums here and everybody in, because they crack me up (you guys!!!!), Mass Effect is a good game.Ive never gone to the forums, and probably never will, but it is a good game, if you like that type of game.Other than that, like the Forum Ninja said, i wont lose sleep over it.

There is only one thing I really want changed, when it comes down to it.

I want Bungie to use their weekly updates to tell us what they are doing about problems, instead of trying to sell new product. As far as moderators go, I have had at least one thread closed for no good reason by a moderator who had a good laugh with his final post, in the arrogant comfort of knowing I was left unable to publicly reply. The fact is I have virtually given up on this forum, because I no longer find it to be relevant.

The only problem with giving us constant updates on the progress is.....

All the stupids here will flip out if they imply, state, or promise something that doesn't actually work out for one reason or another. If they say that X problem is going to be fixed by X date in a certain way, and it doesn't happen, the world will tilt off its axis for some people. I agree with you completely and wish they would give us running updates, but unfortunately immature whiners ruin that for the rest of us.

I'd kill to know how and when they are going to fix the melee problems, sniper hit detection problems, matchmaking issues, etc...

I mean seriously the other day a guy was crouching on lone wolves in the middle of king of the hill on The Pit. I sniped him 3 times in a row directly in the face while he was sitting perfectly still. No damage. WTF!? I watched the video and the whole wall behind him was smeared with blood. Things like that I'd like to hear updates on....

I recently bought, and played through Mass Effect, and you wouldn't believe the breath of fresh air it is to join a forum where you don't get blacklisted for debating touchy subjects, and actual GAME DEVELOPERS answer once in a while to both criticism, and praise.

Yeah, its horrible that most of the mods here do there job and lock posts that have already been put up a hundred times that day. Because that's what I really want to see when I log into these forums. A few thousand whiners who have their caps lock button forever stuck in and can do nothing but complain about the same three things. The subjects aren't touchy, they're beat to death, respawned and beat to death again. So by all means, have fun on the Bioware forum where you can complain about how: you don't get the special armor (you are special, therefore you should get the special armor too, its only right), the lag is horrible (you have the lowest speed high internet and refuse to optimize your router settings, but somehow it still winds up being a game developers fault you're in the red) and of course melee (its not the same as it was in Halo 2 and this game clearly is Halo 2, so why the change?)

Start a thread on religious influences on the plot and see how long it lasts.

I hope you actually know why we do that, otherwise I've sorely overestimated your intelligence.

That, along with the fact that everyone knows there's religious influences on the plot already and the cons far outweigh the pros in this situation.

This is more of a website topic, so I'll move it to the forum dedicated to community discussion.

Self-congratulatory back-slapping session, with a carrot dangling off the end of a stick to keep the donkey moving.

I recently bought, and played through Mass Effect, and you wouldn't believe the breath of fresh air it is to join a forum where you don't get blacklisted for debating touchy subjects, and actual GAME DEVELOPERS answer once in a while to both criticism, and praise. I feel like Bioware actually cares about their players. When I log on to the Bungie forums, I feel like I'm in a packed stadium of people yelling incoherently at each other with random people kicked out seemingly at random by others whose chests swell from the illusion of control over their fellow man that they have been granted.

Yeah I know why you do that. Because whining christian fundamentalists start asking people if they believe in god. The fact that I can't discuss the plot of Halo 3 on the official Halo 3 forum is the most broken thing about Halo 3... which of course cannot be discussed in the Halo forum, because it is irrelevant. Apparently.
