The controls are near-identical to Halo's, except you use the "a" button for activation and squad maneuvers and "y" for jump.
I've played the KOTOR II demo as well. It is very, very good. It looks absolutely stunning, and the animation is amazingly crisp. It's hard to believe what you're seeing is real. Your squadmates are quite funny at times, and unlike other starwars games, you can actually rely on them to help you out.
Imagine: Your squadmate loses his shields (it has a shield system like Halo's) and takes a bullet in the leg. Until he gets to a bacta tank, he will limp around on that leg, and do every single maneuver according to the wound he got. Damage to enemies is area-specific. If you shoot a droid in the leg, it goes ragdoll and falls over.
It looks great. It plays great. I've played the short four-minute demo at least ten times, and I have a blast each time.
