It was made clear by 343 Guilty Spark that Halo destroys the Flood's "Food". Meaning anything edible, or inhabitable. This would mean that the Forerunner have no respect for humanity, or Covenant, due to the fact thet they would have created a device to activly destroy the flood rather than starve or anniahlate thier food supply. Perhaps they had higher reasons, but in all honesty, they don't sound very friendly to Human or Covenant beings. Basicly, listening to 343 in the library level, the Flood can activly assimilate any life-form. This brings me to believe that not just Humanity and the Covenant have a problem with Flood, but anything breathing. Think of the flood much like the Zerg fom Starcraft, if I may use that illustration. They attack a planet. Assimilate it until all life is Flood-type in some area, and then move on, minlessly taking every planet they can. Not to mention the fact that they can pilot aircraft and vehicles (Which is why they were repairing the T&R), so troop and infection transport wouldn't be a problem for them. They don't stop until something stops them, or they have EVERYTHING. If the Forerunner returned, tey'd clean house on everybody. The Humans, Covenant, and Flood. Evidently, they did once already, which would explain the Halo Containment Facilities for the Flood. Also, numerous implications in "First Strike" lead to the fact that the forerunner had things placed maticulously on planets for some reason or the other. But why badger the man who started this post with gripes and rudeness? He just asked a simple question. And the dude who Called POA the T&R? Lay off of him! A person with a honest question is honorable. If you can't be nice or helpful to them, don't reply to these posts. If you're trying to swing your "intelligence" around to "impress" people hoping that they'll join your chapter because you're so "All-Knowing" you're dead wrong. In thier eyes, you're a jerk. That goes for the eyes of people like myself who have been on the colum for two years, and have been answering these types of questions to the best of our abilities to Help, not insult people's intelligence or confidence in themselves. Let's be men about this and stop the rudness. If you're gonna post replies, be mature, not childish.
