Ok, i know Halo 2 is supposed to have destructable environments, such as windows that shatter if hit with a bullet or even doors that swing open and closed at the click of a button. But i was just curious to know if the environments are anything like Red Faction. I personally love the way the walls crumble apart when they're hit with a rocket launcher or some other explosive on that game.

Nope, you cant shoot walls down exactly... Although theres sufficient destructible columns and vehicles (like cars) and turret shields etc. Theres plenty of objects to destroy no worries [Edited on 6/8/2004 5:45:17 PM]
I don't think all of the weapons will destroy walls... but corners, pillars, maybe. Bungie couldn't let people wander freely through the levels, so some buildings and walls will probably be indestructable.
damn, no destructable walls....then again that might be a good thing. especially when you consider 16 people playing on a single server, and each one has a rocket launcher. There'd be no more walls left to shoot by the time the match ends
If you had destructible walls that would make defending a flag is extremely difficult. The opponant could just make a wall in the bases wall anywhere he wants. waltz in take the flag and waltz out. Boring.
there thick walls man not exactly very easy to blow through
then again, it could add stratagy to the game because then you'd have people trying to prevent that from happening
it would be cool if u could shoot down some kind of wall onto a group of covenant and see them die!
they'll have it to a degree probably.. small wals that are insignificant will blow completely away....
in Red Faction I know there were some who exploited that system and its hard for developers to implement FULL destructible enviroments. In Halo 2 Bungie will have anything usefull and just cool that will be destructible just think of the Lobby scene the Matrix that kind of stuff
