Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Dude...why can't they just say you are banned forever because I don't know about you, but I don't think I'll be around when my ban runs out in 2159...
That's the point.
It's not supposed to be a joke, or some way to himiliate you. A computer doesn't know the term "forever". You've got to put things in terms of what they are programmed to understand. There must be an end date, and that end date is just some arbitrarily long off date.
Heh... well, you never know. Shishka said he used to ban people until the year 2552 just for fun.
But, joking aside, you're almost certainly right. Whoever designed their banning system probably didn't add an option to have a ban's end date not set (which would result in a never ending ban, i.e., permanent). That option is certainly possible (Bnet has, as far as I'm aware, true permanent bans), but it's not strictly necessary, as evidenced by the OP's situation.
As a side note, if you do manage to live for 152 more years, good luck remembering your password.
