Yeah, I went and picked it up. It took me two days to watch it though. It's very good, I liked how there was a lot more of the fighting.

I got it for my wife, she adores it.

I liked it too, but would rather re-read the novel for the umpteenth time.

That's what I say. No matter how good the movies turned out to be, the book was still 10 times better.

i got it for myself. and yeah, the books are better, nevertheless, peter jackson did a tremendous joband i don't think anyone could have done any better. Tolkien would have been proud of it.

I used to like the movies, but now my hatred for them knows no bounds. Its because all these morons running around have several very wrong ideas about the story, and have no idea who the hell Tom Bombadil is. Also, whenever I mention that I have read the lord of the rings, people always think I mean after the movies cam out... I read them looonnnggg before the movies, thank you very much. Oh and the silmarillion... don't even get me started. People act like the Lord of the rings is the only thing tolkien wrote... The silmarillion is my personal favorite, and everytime I say that, folks are like silmawho? Jeez. I hate it when my nerdy hobbies become mainstream.

I could see that as annoying but hating the movies cause of that? Come on, there aren't a lot of people who read books so that's no surprise. But yes, I wish that everything could have been in the movies that are in the books but do you know how long that would be? That would be over 24 hours at shortest.

Meh, I don't hate the movies, I just feel that the movies don't do the books justice. I personally like the movies... when I'm by myself. When there are others who haven't read the books before the movies came out, it makes me angry. Whatever, i'm just wierd like that.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

I have to say that he totally butchered the Mouth of Sauron. I dont think that it was literally a guy with a big mouth... it was just his messenger thingy.
