I have searched in the forums for the answer but I cant find it. So now I ask you all. Can I change the framerate in this game? Cause When I play Multiplayer the game gets all choppy. If I play Campaign, its perfect. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have read the sticky post in here to fix problems, but no improvment. Im running the following:
AMD athlon XP 2700+ OC'd to 2.25Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 7600GS OC'd
2 Gig. of Ram
4 Gig. Pagefile

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I have the same problem. Your CPU is too slow. You need like 3 Ghz for the game to perform decently in MP.

sorry, but halo 2 vista incabaple of doing that. I think the only way you can fix the choppiness is if you run the game in windowed mode.

If I were you, I would return that bogged down peice of s hit for something 1000 times better...for example

1. Splintercell Chaos Theory/Double Agent
2. Half life 2
3. CS source
4. Starcraft

Just my personal favorites :)

Those games aren't really good in my opinion.. I would prefer Crysis, or CoD4, your computer would run CoD4 like butter.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Multiplayer is typically much more graphics intensive than single player mode. It's common sense really, the more people you have within a smaller space means more rendering for your video card. It's the exact same thing with Halo PC. Plasma party on Hang-em can be a framerate nightmare.

You're just going to have to reduce graphics settings, but since H2V doesn't really have any, just reduce your resolution unitl it is smooth and playable. H2V is a failry pooly optimized game at this point, and both your CPU and video card are going to hold you back. Props for still running socket A though.

I figured it was going to be something along the lines of my CPU, seeing Vista ranks my CPU @ 3.7
Thanks for the input guys! I guess Im just going to have to build another computer.

Thinking of something witty to write here since 2004...

And I think it will stay that way since Hired Gun has dropped support for the game and there's barely any players online anymore.

I keep getting banned since the mods are unfunny and suck at their jobs!

Halo 2 Vista is dying faster than Microsoft expected.
Maybe because it's a 3-4 year old game.
I would recommend purchasing something newer, at least it won't lag.
I am suprised that people actually play the PC version, since they have to pay extra prices for online play.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

DO NOT GET DOUBLE AGENT! It is a fun game, and works for me, but for a lot of people it runs like crap.
