if it's date related (which i don't think) please explain this... if it's true...
one guy claimed he joined here 2003. he was just a regular member...
Join Date is only one of a whole series of factors that goes into your trust rating. Blacklistings and warnings will reduce your trust rating as well.

What the other factors are, and how much weight is attributed to each, are kept secret for obvious reasons :-)

Character Artist -- Electronic Arts

Day 2 of the new Title feature and people are still lost and confused.
Achronos has given them answers.
But they fail to read his post on the first page.

Will there be salvation?

I think that Louis Wu and Miguel Chavez may predate Reiginko's join to this incarnation of Bungie.Net, but if so, not by much.

And just maybe some guy called mnemesis...

It's amazing what you can find from back in the day.

I stand corrected! Louis Wu predates Reiginko by a day, while Mnemesis predates Reiginko by 2. Thanks :-)

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

All these names!

I must've joined after some Bungie.net Renaissance, so many of these people are unbeknownst to me.

Hi there, my name is Monkeylizard, I've been here since 7/17/2003.
That's four years.

Same here. I joined early 2005, just a little after Halo 2 was launched, on the day I got my Xbox (I'd played Halo PC for a long while before that though).

Blackmail and extortion, if I am not mistaken.

I told you to keep weggie jr. in lieu of legendary status, what happened? The boy mows a mean lawn and can go days with no food or water.

Have you been warned or banned? That would hurt your rank.

Subject: Heroic member? Achronos can you please explain?

Tom Achronos
Bungie.net Overlord
twitter: http://twitter.com/Achronos

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

Quick History Lesson:

Two accounts exist still from 10/12/01. One is mine, the other is Evil Otto's (he was on the community team at the time, he still is at Bungie, though). Yeroen (Max Hoberman), Matt Soell, and Peter Marks also had accounts, but they have since been deleted as they have moved on to other things.

However, the first day that a user could create an account was I believe on 11/15/01, Halo 1's launch.

Posted by: x Foman123 x
I could certainly be wrong, but I believe that no user has a join date any earlier than 10/12/01 (Achronos's join date), since everybody had to make new accounts to comport with the site's new affiliation with Microsoft and requirement of a Windows Live ID in order to have an account on BNet (Bungie was acquired by Microsoft in mid-late 2000). Thus, Reiginko's account, made about a month later, is just about the oldest regular member account that you will find. There may be someone whose account was made within the month previous to Reiginko's account creation, but I don't know of any.

Once again, I'm open to being corrected on this, but that's the impression I have.

...how many people made accounts on the first day?

At least 13, but could have been up to 22.

Cool... So, that means that I've been a member at least half as long as anybody else.

In other words: If you guys didn't help me build the ancient pyramids and put up Stonehenge, you're not going to be a Mythic Member.

Nifty little update. I must have missed all this yesterday, don't know how though.

Shame very few people read the Achronos' posts. Saying that, the bright gold text is very hard to see.

Yeah, funny how I just got a warning the other day for something that wasn't even really spam...Oh well, I'll just be more careful in the future then.

I had special sunglasses made so I can read Achronos' overly obnoxious blinding yellow font. On the case where the UV protection rating sticker is, it says "The Sun."

The way Achronos quotes post is also a dead giveaway that he has posted. He doesn't post much, and it is usually important when he does post.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

I wonder how the titles are going to change over time. One or two years from now, will we see more titles, or will people 'mature' into a higher title?

A tosser is the same as a wanker. To toss oneself off is to fondle the trouser weasel.

I wonder...

PS: Not fair, I joined on late 2004 but I am not a legendary member! I wonder how many "titles" are out there.
