What does everybody think about being able to somehow counter a hijack attempt by boosting your Ghost or swerving the warthog to unbalance your assailant?

I think it would be worthwhile for the driver (if quick enough) to counteract the hijack instead of waiting shortly for the inevitable.

Post your thoughts please or ways that the driver could possibly defend his ride.

Sorry if this was already posted.

i think that their should be a way to counter it but make it very difficult to do otherwise no one will want to hijack.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe it would be a timing thing. If the driver did something to prevent it at the right time, he could save his ride.

It would be interesting if you could pull on the e-brake, turn hard and roll your hog on purpose. That would squish your border in a most satisfying way.

apparently, if you read, people get into hijack wars, where once the driver gets kicked out, he can board back his stolen ride before the opponent can get away, and so on and so forth. "this can lead to some interesting outcomes" i think the official news said. So that is the counter in my opinion, but you shouldnt be able to counter it before someone steals your ride! (no matter what, the timeing would eventually get easy once you know what to expect)

Okay I see your point, but just hijacking back and forth would get old if both players were very good at it. Maybe not a timing thing then, let's say a percentage role or something like that. You know like RPG's.
I think boosting should throw even the MC off your ride.

Counter for Ghost: press boost.
Warthog:Drop a grenade as you are kicked out, that hog doesn't accelerate that fast.

I like it. Adds an element of danger to boarding.

maybe the passenger or gunner could shoot the hell out of hijackers... and maybe really fast moving vehicles couldn't be jackable, but you could like closeline someone in an atv with a melee atack... sorry if i rambled
