Most of what you said is retarded. You can't really change the game's physics, or the core engine with just a little update. All updates can do is make tweaks, or add a small feature or two.
You can't really change the physics engine with just an update. And the issues with your shots not registering on MC is because of Halo PC's crappy netcode. You can't fix that via an update, and would require huge changes in the game's engine, an d would require a lot of mucking around. And besides, Halo 1/PC wasn't built for netplay. The original engine was intend for system-link only, and the game wasn't accommodated for lag-issues; the game always expects the environment to be lag-free (like a system-link environment). And let's face it: When playing on the Internet, there will always be lag, and since the game's networking wasn't built for it, it causes a few problems.
May I also note that Halo PC was developed by Gear Box, not Bungie. So, they're the ones in-charge of creating patches and such.
That aside, I don't think changing people's names would be a good idea at all. But yeah, everyone else seems reasonable =D
