Wow, you don't hear about Abuse too much! Sorry, but I have no Mac, and I've never played Abuse.

If abuse was Bungie developed and not just Bungie published, I would tear your guts out, but since its Bungie published, I'll just say S-t-f-u, fool!

And since neither comments help him at all, I'm going to tell both of you to knock it off.

Anyhow, I doubt Abuse is going to run in classic mode, or in OSX period. If you can boot into classic, or have a machine running classic handy, I'd strongly suggest that you use that instead of trying to run the game from OSX.

Okay sweet! I was able to reproduce what you had on the first try. I got crazy colors, three or four different "screens" undercontrol, and i used three or four mice on the screen to hit the quit button.
First off, this was one on a G4 running OS X; opening Abuse starts up Classic OS 9. It'll then prompt you to change screen resolution and colors. Unfortunately, Abuse doesn't do a good job of it. So try manually changing your settings to 640x480 (remember those days?) and 256 colors. It'll still prompt you to change your settings - ironically to what its already set to- hit "don't switch" and hopefully it'll work.

If that doesn't work, don't . . . cry . . . too . . much. There's a reason you don't hear much about it . . . O:-)

(its fun, but its a twitchy shooter, and i dont think its really has a story. But tell me how you like it!)

P.S. edit: I copied Abuse straight off the Mac Action Sack, so i'm gonna assume its unpatched!
