I think Zamame's ideas are pretty cool and i have one here:

Grand Prix:
Two teams with 3 Worthogs each. Both teams has two "bases" (spawn points) where they start. They drives the hogs and the first team to reach the other "base" with at least one hog. Off course teams can place snipers and foot soldiers so they can defend(attack the enemies. It would be cool with large maps, so the teams can drive different ways. The "base" can also be a line whcich must be crossed!!!

Load:
100% Health 100% Shield
One of each weapon at each base (two of the onehanded weapons)
3 Warthogs
No power-ups or granades
Max. players 16

Only if the following is possible:

1. If the team that is holding the hostages kills them, the other team automatically wins (if he keeps doing it over and over again, the server automatically kicks and bans that person from the server and server gets reset to before he/she starts doing it)
2. If the people trying to get to the hostages kills them, their team automatically loses
3. People holding the hostages can get them to follow them around (like it was when Counter-Strike origionally was), but cannot go to certain places (a jerk that wants to give the hostages to the other team, won't be allowed because at one point the hostages won't follow you any more)

343 Kills: 50 to 75

Objective: Kill as many 343 Guilty Sparks as you can before your enemy (everyone or just the other team) does. Killing other people doesn't give you any points...


Adding on to this idea:

Every 5 or so deaths 343 recieves means that he gets a bit more difficult to kill... Like the first one will add Sentries flooting around him, then like 5 more till you get to like 25 kills on him... Then he gets an upgrade, possible an upgraded Sentry beam tand better shielding.... We could go as far as when he's up to like 150 deaths (in larger games) he gets upgraded to the biggest monstrosity every to walk on any surface...

Twin Chainguns
Incredible shielding
25 Sentries (remember, this is LARGER gaming)
rocket launcher/flame throwers
In a small mech like outfit
Rotating body (rather fast might I add)

It'll take people working together just to down him, and whoever gets the kill can laugh at his friends as they blow him/her away for stealing the kill =P

what about one smaller team has a massive inaccurate aimable artillery cannon in a small fortified base and the other larger team has to navigate across a system trenchs, bunkers and fox holes to plant a plasma bomb to the artillery.

i would say new mombasa for a multiplayer map except you can go in the buildings and snipe and stuff

Highrise.

the board is like a highrise apartment or office building.(10+ floors.), has 1elevatorshaft with a ladder and 2 stairwells.

2 teams;

1st team starts at the top and their objective is to get as many players onto the ground floor and through 1 of a few (2-4?) teleporters to score. They are then teleported back to the top to start again.

2nd team same thing but starts at the bottom and has to get to top.

this has probably been said before but you could have a simple race with four teams 3 to a worthog on a long course with multiple routes. all players are invincible, cannot get out until either their vehicle is destroyed or they reach the last part where they make a huge jump and have to get out; the tracks chould split at one point and turn at equal lengths to one side of the end run and the teams will then have to run to a floating index in the centre while having to shoot other players as they run. if all teams are killed before the end there is a draw.

Got a couple Ideas.


Gauntlet.

This is kind of that operation in Somalia by the US Delta Force operatives. All the guys are on the same team. They have to get to the other side of the map. This map will remove all sheilds and assumes that when people are wounded it'll affect their mobility. This also assumes the AI is smart enough to avoid most grenades thrown.

Basically, in between their starting point and objective are hordes of enemies. I'm not talking about like 25 grunts. I'm saying about 25 Elites, 50 Jackals and so on. This would put a strain on the system.

If a person dies running the gauntlet, they become part of the enemy horde. Possibly an elite. Mayhaps we'll have to wait for a more powerful system and faster internet connections (XBOX 2?). If a person is seriously injured, someone else can support them as they try to get to the other side by running or driving, or they can remain behind to provide supporting fire. There also would be tons of obstacles, destructible, of course.

Also, there are gonna be parts where you can't just run, you'll have to take out 2 dropships full of covies and a couple of wraiths, heck, maybe even a squad of Sword elites.. There will also be minefields all over the place. The covies will have unusable shees that only they can fly. Once you become a Elite, you can use these shees to attack the spartan convoy. Points will be awarded on Kills and teamwork.

!00% health
No Shields
Wort wort worthogs. :)
All weapons
10 minute timed game.
No Respawn to run the gauntlet as a spartan. If you are killed as an Elite, you can become one again. This changes between Invisi-Elite, Invisi-Elite with Sword, Reg Elite and Reg Elite with sword. Just for some variety. The last Spartan standing with the most hit points left and kills wins.

Again, judged on teamwork and kills.

Comments? If too complex, please say so.

More ideas to come later.

Well there should be a mission based multiplayer like different stages which lead to one big explosion...

One team is defending a base or weapon like a big rocket or something then they get big turrets and sniper spots stuff like that(similar to the e3 2004 demo ctf). The defending team gets a huge base and some neat weapons + some good hidding places for sneak attacks with the big swordy thing, the team attacking get sum beasty transport to bash those turrets up. The opposite team first has to open a gate, then break a wall in the defense for example. The they might have to damage a certain power unit so it damages the use of turrets and other items. That team can then enter the main area to steal, remove or destroy the rocket, after that round the team switch over.

Not sure if anyone has mention that idea as ive onl;y just joined and don't feel like reading every1's massive posts!!!

Hope this helps you bungie well paid peeps and makes your job a whole lot easier and my gamer experience alot more extreme.

I have two ideas (forgive me if they have already been posted) #1Demolition: the only way to make kills is to run over unvehicled (new word!) players. you can shoot people out of vehicles (but it doesnt count as a point), so one would have to either jack a vehicle, or flip it, or destroy it, doesnt matter Which one since they all achieve the same, opponent has to go on foot giving you a chance to squish them and get a point.
#2Sabatoge: where one team is trying to defend a well armored base, the other team has a bomb they must place in the opposing base at a specified target, say a computer ect.

This is off that Highrise Idea.

Shoot the Rubber Ducky:

One team is in a building (with plenty of windows) and they start on the roof and try to get to the bottom. At the bottom there is a detonator that is linked to the building team 2 is on which is paked full of demolitions. Team 2 is in an adjacent building with sniper rifles, rockets, whatever has scopes. They try to kill all of team 1 and not let them get to the bottom. Team 1 wins when they get down to the bottom and push the detonator. Team 2 wins when all of team 1 gets killed.

Load:
Team 1 gets 200% health and pistols only.
Team 2 gets 100% health and pistols, rockets, and sniper rifles.
Both teams get 100% shields.


Anyone think this is fun?

Liked your ideas terradin they were cool but how about you fighting flood and becoming them after sounds more realistic. but then you cant play them in multiplayer so ill be quiet.

few ideas

#1 evil kinevil-teams are in veicles when they start and they stay in them the entire game everyone has the same veicle play slayer or capture the flag grab the flag by running it over

#2 Survival-simlply last as long as you can in a single fort the size of the blood gulch forts with everyone on the same team while enemies come running tword you see how long you can last, for the dare devils near the enemy spawn point their are more powerful weapons and a good position to use these waepons the enemies would start out easy and quickly get harder (start out with grunts so you can get good weapons and position then progress to jackels ... then eventually hunters) you would also have towers but when the hunters come you want to be out of the towers.

#3 cops and robbers-the "robbers" try to get to the check point on the other side of the level they have a speed bonous and their armor is the same color for the level to blend in but they cant drive the "cops" are slower but can drive veicles to make up for it. have a set number of robbers that have to make it to the other side to win each player is given only 2 lives and cops cant guard near the check point.

Four teams fighting each other and realizes the 100 Flood AI's attacking forcing an aliance. Is that another 100?

A huge map with all vehicles, all types of guns, and two huge bases on either side. Two teams, 100% health and shields, and flood appearing in the center of the map. In addition, covenant will come from dropships behind the bases.

You get 1 point for every grunt you kill, 3 for jackals, 5 for hunters (depends how tough they will be in halo 2), 10 for elites(varies slightly for color. For the flood, you get 0.1 point for every infection form, 2 for every carrier, and 6 for every combat. The team with the most points at the end wins.

As you can see, this would require strategy a the coves and flood attack from two different places. There are also many different ways to tackle this challenge. You can get into a vehicle and try to kill as many enemies before you get overrun, you could grab a sniper or a rocket launcher and attack from the base, or you could send someone to sabotouge(SP?) the other team.

Sorry this took so long, just thought it was a cool idea.

"Assault" no, not the one already in halo...based on Time Splitters2

one team, the spartans have a series of objectives to complete. the first objective may be to capture the middle grounds, by maybe taking out some auto stationary turrets and getting by enemy forces.
the second objective maybe be like,destory the enemies fuel supply(or armory or something.) itll be interactive enviornment of the sort, and it can take a lotta hits.
then maybe take out enemy cameras/computers.

final objective would be to destory the enemies base somehow. the other teams goal is to prevent all this from happening.

Here is one, just off the top of my head.

War

Teams: 2
Time Limit: 15 minutes

Two teams do battle. Team A's goal is to "capture" the enemy base by bringing their flag to the enemy's flag and have at least 50% more soldiers than Team B in the base. If Team A successfully captures the enemy base, then they are victorious. If Team B prevents them, then they are victorious.

If Team A manages to place the flag in the flag stand, but fail to get enough soldiers in the base, a member of Team B only has to touch it to return it to the A base. Upon the match ending, the two teams switch positions.

Now the advantage leans in the direction of Team B. To help counteract this, the defenders have a 30 second respawn, while the attackers only have 10 seconds.

Any thoughts on this?

Good idea kulatu, i would just make the respawn a little less than 30 secs, maybe 15 and make the other teams 5.

i can't beleive i've thought up of six ideas off the top of my head. i may have more by the end of the day but i guess my ideas have made it harder for everyone else, hence little responses, sorry.
