1st team- an icon with other team members as bodyguards(who get all the big guns)
2nd team-one or two invisible guys with snipers and pistols

point- to assasinate the icon.

level- a city or underground place

Assination: Where one team has the "Commander" he's has 150 percent health and the other team has to kill him before the timer runs down.

Infiltration:

Two to four teams, a decently sized map with a castle like structure in the middle. Four turrets on to of the castle, and four entrances into the castle. The point is for the teams to secure the castle and hold it for as long as possible. There will be a flag in the center of the castle, this will be object to say if you have taken the castle or not. The whole idea is for the whatever number of team to get to the castle first take it, and use the turrets up top to take out any incoming infantry. There are four open entrances into the castle and one secret one. One below ground in order to avoid turret fire, and four open entrancse surround the castle like structure. Sniper weapons can only be found at the start of the map, not inside the castle. This would make things easier to snipe the turrets, however battle rifles are able to be found up top.

Greed;
each team has a base and a number of vehicles that are the same colour as them. The idea is to control the enemies vehicles and/or be in their base for a set amount of time. King of the hill but with other teams stuff. Keep yours and steal theirs

Suicide Oddball;
Oddball but based on kills. The oddball explodes and then respawns when it is held for 3 seconds. Only way to score is to get the ball and kill as many other players as possible. No score for yourself.

This sounds awfully like someones previously posted idea, oh wait, IT'S MINE!

Another idea of mine is destroy the core based on the last level of Halo 1

One team must destroy a fusion reactor, core, fuel dump (whatever would suit the map its on best) the other team must stop the other team in a time limit to win. abit like assualt only no flag i guess.

It's called team vandals.
As well as weapons, everyone can carry a can of spraypaint in a weapon slot. certain parts of bases and all vehicles can be spraypainted in your teams colour. whoever has the most of their colour at the end wins. getting kills won't score you points but stops them dam spartan teen vandals!

(continueing from where i stoped)
#4 4 team CTF-4 teams each trade off trying to defent their flag Only one team at a time can have a flag if your team scores they have to defent the flag for the next five min then it swiches to the next team who has not defended it yet this would continue swiching to the team who has defended it the least or whoever's team scores, EXAMPLE if red was guarding the flag and blue stole it but in the middle of the field died the next person to step over the flagwould have it and try to take it to their base (all teams are enemies) only 2 banshees are in the level and are given to the team who starts with the flag

#5 Alamo (I am from Texas so humer me)-One team with a limited number of lives But with beter players is defending a well fortified base with turrets and sniper rifels, the other team is given infinate lives and 2 stationary rockket launchers to try to break through the walls(this would take several hits in the same spot about 15 or so) this is why the people in the alamo are given the sniper rifels. The people in the alamo are only trying to stay alive untill the game ends(they have instant respawn) the people outside the alamo(15 sec respawn) are trying to kill everyone in the alamo before the time runs out, in which case they win. this can be done many ways for the alamo several snipers, a good offince, hide outside the alamo, defend inside the alamo,have one person hide, ect. (I really would like to see this one)

#6 Freedom-Both teams are trying to free the prisoner inside the other teams base The prisoner is a player on their team so they can make it by theirself if they are let out by one of their teamates (the pisoner can use weapons and has a dif color armor than his other teamates) he can drive 2 points are given if the prisoner gets back to his base one point goes to the other team if they kill him before he gets to his base 3 points are given if the prisoner gets to his base without using a portal or veicle. (this could be made into a 4 team game) simply have four bases and the base across from you has your prisoner no points aworded to a team who kills a dif teams on the team that is not across from you prisoner

Oddball ball;

Team Oddball play where you have to get past the other team and throw the oddball into their goal, which could be like the reactors on 'the maw'. Oddball has a 10second shot clock, respawns in centre of board if held continuously for 10 sec. 5 points per goal, 1 point for killing other team player that holds the ball.

Carjack;
Points for running other players over with vehicles, Points for jacking other teams ride.

what about using oddball for american football? the skull is the ball and on a long course is the goals at each base. there can even be a A.I referee spartan? not a serious idea but kinda neat.

Plant the evidence;

Three to Four teams.
Steal other teams flag, but instead of going back to your base you have to plant it at a different enemies base. You would have to guard you flag as well as keeping other flags out.

The air up there;
Rockets only, unlimited grenades. Scoring based on total cumulative height other team players get when you launch them into the air.

Mabye Bungie can release a seperate modding CD that works on your PC, similar to Halo PC's HEK and CE.
Also have a PC/xbox connection cable to transfer the mod/map data to your memory card or whatever the Xbox uses for memory. < -- Non XBox user

Team Game - Power Rangers.
in each team each member is a different colour (i know this makes it hard but follow me) scattered around the course are vehicles that correspond to your colour. every member of your team must capture their needed vehicle and be the first to rally together. then they win and are treated to a sequence where they merge together into a mech and crush everyone else. there would be like more than one of each colour like one pink, blue, red ,yellow etc on each team which would make it complecated but it'd be fun....... and lame. (mostly lame)

#7 destruction- simply 2 teams the first team to tear down the other teams entire base wins

#8 coloseim-no shelter how many hunters can your team take out before you all die

#9 quick draw-2 teams a resonable distanceaway from eachother faceing a wall each player has a battle rifle at the same time turn and the last team standing wins only 1 life no grenades

One player is 'it' That player has the shotgun with unlimited rounds. All other players have no weapons (or grenades) All other players are trying to kill who is 'it' If you kill 'it' you are know 'it'

Score based on time as 'it'
