Ha ha stanman has been foiled by the great ferret. Soon he shall start a ferret army and take down the legions of the dark forces. ferret will be the leader and he will use his 1337 ferret skillz to end the fight once and for all.

or he just went home to sit on his ass watching conan and eating cheesy poofs.

On the bright side, trying to fix a dirty disk doesn't make your head dizzy (as opposed to cartridges). :/

lol you guys just dont appreciate the memories that this guy has re-surfaced for the old school gamers. dude, i remember those days. the irritation when it happened, the head rush from blowing into the cartridge, even keeping the power on and wiggling the cartridge from side to side in hopes that the title screen would appear on the next 'auto- reset' ( you know what i mean ;) ). lol thanks fyrfly, that was great. lol one more thought, imagine a halo side scrolling, platform shooter for nintendo... lol

I never had the message. It's all a matter of keeping everything clean.
Ex. I have a friend, who absolutely doesn't take good care of his xbox. Result: the game stops regularely, he falls through floors,... I on the other hand , clean my xbox and discs sometimes, and i've had him for a few years now. He still plays like if i had just bought him.

lol I remember that duck hunting game, great fun. N64 also used cartridges and had great games, when I heard gamecube and xbox would use disks I was thinking about the loooooong loading times and scratched disks "dont worry...it'll have better graphics". All of the problems, none of the benefits...

The benefit is not having a modern game like Halo take like 20 or more cartridges. You would then have to change cartarige every few seconds to load a new level part :-/

:O you really liked NES better??? when i first played SNES ( mario and final fantasy 2) i was stunned by the improvement in graphics. and the sound!!! final fantasy actually had orchestrated music, so much better than the 'bee bop bum, budap budap, do do do do dum de dap doe dadap, diddy diddy dum, do do dip do didip, de de de de doe dap do dap! diddy diddy dum do do dip do dadap, bim bum bom, duhn duhn duhn dum' ( lol attempt at mario brothers level 1 music). so yea, why do you like the NES better? im curious

Man I knw exactly what your talking about, I used to spend 10-14 mins blowing on a cartridge trying to get it work then I would blow into the NES to get it work. Gutted. I'd then give up trying to play the game and try another.

Is it me or have alot of the old school nintendo generation jumped ship to the X-Box? I know I did and I owned every single nintendo console bar the gamecube.

I think its quite sad the Mario Brothers are now glorified cleaners - Luigi is now hoovering old mansions and Mario is cleaning islands from top to bottom with a water gun. lol

Oh man, I remember those Nintendo memories. The other tricks to making the games work to load and reload the cartridge into the loading mechanism on the Nintendo. Sometimes shoving it all all the way to the rear, sometimes making it barely clear the plastic in the front. We also used pencil erasers to clean the copper connectors. Finally, there were all these dozens of companies selling cartridge cleaning devices,w hich I ended up buying one of because of the frustration.
