Ok, yesterday, I worked HARD getting the envy skull, in preparation for my journey to the IWHBYD skull, I got seven kills and seven checkpoints, the skull even spawned! I got teled to the minigame, with the ENVY SKULL ACTIVE. Whats the first thing I hear? "I'll take care of this deamon"! I turn and see a sword weilding spec-ops charging me. I'm guessing we all know what happens next. Now, the only way I can try and get the skull again is getting the envy skull AGAIN, that was soo hard. I have a checkpoint on outskirts with the camo on, but the skull still won't spawn!!! Anyone got any tips plz????

If you will check out my IWHBYD checkpoint glitch thread you will find I share your problem from a slightly different angle. The skull is a stone cold B to get. The only way to even have a fighting chance, regardless of what skulls you have is to survive to first elite and hope the second spawns in a spot that it cannot directly attack you. This allows you a chance to set the arena up for the majority of the battle. Gathering weapons to your hidey hole then blocking the staired entry, setting up the majority of the block for the tunnel, killing the remaining elite and then getting in your hide, closing the final block to the hallway area. The blocks I prefer are the following:

I put the crate that had two plasma rifles in it just in front of the window area where the BR rounds are (DO NOT CARRY THE BR AROUND WITH YOU WHILE YOU SET UP OR YOU WILL SNAG BOTH AMMO BAGS AND LOSE ALOT OF AMMO, you want to get them one at a time. The advantage of the crate in this position is that it keeps the elites from getting right under the window and crouching. The further they are out the window the easier they are to kill.

The stairs themselves are tricky. I have had times where blocking them competely made it more difficult, and if they can come through staggered I can kill them with the noob combo right in the hide and I get their weapons. Bad part is that sometimes they come as the whole wave if they breech the block entirely and well, I am screwed). So i usually put one of the canisters and two of the green boxes at angles to try and block it but still be able to sneek peeks and snipe out of it. You have to be careful, because the area to the left of the stairs (as you face out of them) will teleport you out just like moving out of the alleys, you will never feel so naked in your life if you manage to move too far to the left of that doorway from inside your cozy hide and find yourself blocked out of your own home!

The area on the inside of the window i move the two green boxes from inside the hide/alley to in front of those windows. With Sputnik on, the Elite weapons will move the boxes, I have found that if I put them next to each other they dont last long in their positions, but if you stagger them a bit, and then block them with your body while crouched you can keep them from moving so much (needlers move them alot).

The hallway is the most important one to do right , cause if you do it wrong you wont be able to resupply yourself. There are two tall canisters that you can roll into the hallway. Move them so that they are flush with the wall. This minor an obstacle will keep most of the elites out. But you need to block it as well. My preferred way has become to use the tall flat pallet on its side covering the doorway so you can sneak in and out to get weapon re-supplies (when you are down to one elite on a wave who has camped out somewhere). You can get it on its side easier with the sword in hand and then push it along the wall to block the entry. To open, just go to the pipe side and move it back the other way. Creep out and watch your motion tracker. ONLY DO THIS WHEN THERE IS ONE SWORD ELITE LEFT, OR THERE IS ONE ELITE CROUCHED NEAR THE STAIRS AND HE IS FACING IN or TO HIS RIGHT. This is a great way to pick up extra needlers.

As for weapons, collect everything you can and bring it back in. I have found that the PP trick of walking out with a low one to get a fully charged one back leaves you with less overall PP's. Every time I do that to get all 100 charged PP's and then kill the second elite of the first wave I find when I get back into my hide, I am down to just 2 or 3PP's from the six I just had. The game seems to eat them, pisses me off!

Please do not take this the wrong way, but if you had a very hard time getting the envy skull, you may need some more time before tackling this one. I have been playing on Legendary since H2 came out, and this is still eluding my grasp. It takes alot of patience, I hope you make it!

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HUNTING!

Yeah, check out the other thread. My last comment may help, idk.

If you saved and quit as the skull was appearing, you are screwed. If you have not saved it and you are still playing, you can kill yourselff over and over to revert to when the skull appeared.

Also, I just reread your last post in the your thread and edited my post. You can go back to the CP that spawned the skull if you kill yourself over and over (with no enemies around) but if you quit and saved, not good.

Ok, yesterday, I worked HARD getting the envy skull...
I use multiple profiles with a skull checkpoint in each to eliminate the hassle of grabbing skulls that are far into a difficult level. Once I reach the area where the skull in question is located I save and quit so that I can always go back to it. Anytime I want to have Envy I simply load that profile and resume from my last checkpoint, grab the skull then save and quit.

Yup, he speaks the truth. Make separate profiles.

DUDE YOU BLUNDERED.

At the first doorway you need to be in camo, invisible, during that checkpoint. Save and quit. Turn off the box. Turn it back on. Now you go to the minigame. Just be ready to turn that box on and off a lot of times for when it doesn't spawn. Took me 15 tries the last time I went for it.

Ejecting the disc is much faster IMO.

Eh, I think you're right. But I only have to make the profile once, so I haven't taken a great interest in finding the most efficient way.
