I'd love to see Bungie add another tab that allowed us to see the collective amount of kills/medals etc. exactly as they are viewed on our singular profiles, like this, except incorporating everybody.

Obviously certain stats would be incredibly useless, (Like the K/D ratio, which will always appear as less than 1) but others would be great. We could compare the usage of each weapon on each of the different maps, see how we, as individuals, compare to the halo 3 players as a whole, in what weapons we use, etc. It would also help to make sense of the Heatmaps, as at the moment, the global heatmaps just show a giant red blob, for the most part. It would also give us an idea of the sheer number of kills involved in Halo 3 matchmaking.

I think that it would be relatively easy to implement, as Bungie already keeps a track of all of these statistics.

So, that's my idea. What do you, as a community, think?

Edit: And, please, comment on the idea. This gives me an idea of how to change/update it, while keeping it up where people can see it.

Hey, Recon. Thanks for the reply.

Such a page would probably need to only display its cumulative data at intervals (5-15 minutes) instead of refreshing real time.

That is not a bad idea, though you could just leave it to update at the end of a 24 hour period. Or however often the heatmaps are updated (unless they ARE done in real time?)

Hmmmm. I wonder if they have ever pointed the individual stat page at the whole enchilada? It might create an online singularity.

Haha. That would definitely put Bungie a step closer to world domination.

Let me just make sure I'm understanding your idea properly. Say if Halo 3 had 2 players in total, one had 100 Kills/ 1 Death and the other had 1 Kill/ 100 Deaths.

The page would then show something like:

Total Kills: 101
Total Deaths: 101

Am I following?

Want a Cheaterboard? I mean Leaderborad?

I'm pretty sure that's not what he is asking for. I think he is sugesting a Global Statistics page that would add everyone's Stats together.

Yes, technically it would. But that is not why you would use it. It would be there so that you could view, say, how many Killamanjaro medals had been awarded, or how many times the BR has been used to kill someone.

You could use it to evaluate which weapons are doing well on which maps. You would probably see evidence of a trend, in the way people respond to the removal/reduction of the Maulers on some maps. You know, that sort of thing.

It doesn't only show K/D ratio.

Edited to add the quote.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

This is not a leaderboard idea. This would allow you to compare your stats to the average. In other words, the GLOBAL statistic for percentage of kills with the assault rifle would be, oh, I dunno, say 15%. And then you could compare your percentage of kills with the assault rifle and say "hey, I get a lot more kills with the assault rifle than most people do."

Not only that, but some statistics would just be purely there for impressiveness. For example, the global statistic for number of multiplayer kills in social. It would just be kind of cool to be able to go to a global stats page and say "Hey, Halo 3 just hit 777,777,777 kills in social matches. That's pretty cool."

Hopefully there could also be "global average" statistics. Such as, the average Halo 3 player has 22 sticky grenade medals in ranked games. This part would have to be tweaked since I would imagine that there are thousands, if not millions of gamertags out there that have only played Halo for a few hours or less, and these do not really represent the Halo community.

I like this idea.

I think it's a great idea, too. It would allow us to see if the complaint surrounding the Mauler are actually legitimate, in terms of How many people get killed by it.

Thanks for the support, guys. I hope people keep voting, as I'd like to see this idea get off of the ground.
