You may have to move them from your hard disk to the iPod manually, through the iTunes software.
By default, your iPod is automatically updated when you connect it to your computer. iTunes transfers the songs and playlists in your computer's music library to your iPod, and deletes songs from iPod that aren't in your music library.
You can also set up iTunes to automatically transfer only certain songs or playlists, or to allow you to transfer songs manually. You may want to do one of these if you have more music on your computer than will fit on your iPod.
To automatically update iPod with only certain songs, in iTunes, check the boxes next to songs you want to transfer (by default, all songs are checked). Then choose Edit > Preferences and click the iPod tab. Click the Music tab and make sure "Automatically update all songs and playlists" is selected. Then click the Advanced tab and select the "Only update checked songs" checkbox.
To automatically update iPod with only selected playlists, in iTunes, choose Edit > Preferences and click the iPod tab. Click the Music tab and select "Automatically update selected playlists only," and then select the playlists you want to transfer.
To automatically update iPod with all the songs in your library, choose Edit > Preferences and click the iPod tab. Click the Music tab and make sure "Automatically update all songs and playlists" is selected. Then click the Advanced tab and make sure the "Only update checked songs" checkbox is deselected.
To transfer songs manually from your iTunes library to iPod, choose Edit > Preferences and click the iPod tab. Click the Music tab and select "Manually manage songs and playlists." Then drag songs from your library or playlist to iPod in the Source list.
Note: You cannot transfer songs or playlists from your iPod to iTunes.
To transfer songs from your iPod to a computer, you need to set up your iPod to use as a hard disk. For more information, see the documentation that came with it, or visit www.apple.com/ipod.
If that doen't help...check the cables?
