All you get from completing the game in legendary is the cut scene with the sargeant and the elite

Yup. Although, I heard that you have to beat ALL of the difficulty setings in under 2 hours. So basically 8 hours total.

Oh, and one more thing, its not a plasma rocket launcher. It's a Fule Rod Cannon. the same weapon that the Hunters use. (You'll see the grunts using them in the Maw.)

the weapon the grunts use is different. the fuel rod rocket fires in a straight line, like a rocket launcher. But the grunts one shoots in a curve (you can use it in halo pc online) and it explodes after use. Ive checked, there different.

How the heck are you going to beat legendary in 2 hours? I simply don't think that's possible. If you could elucidate it would be greatly appreciated.

No. All you have to do to get the special cutscene is beat the Maw on Legendary. Not the whole game, just the Maw.
