Does anyone know if Bungie plans to make Halo 2 for PC (even though it's pretty likely) and if so, how long do you think we'll have to wait after Halo 2 comes out before the PC version is released.

Haha thats a good one Chile. Bungie says Halo 2 XBOX is in reach of fall, so i would guess halo pc will be out in mid to late 2005. It took them that long to get halo pc made...

LOL!

Bungie is concerned with completing Halo 2 for XBOX right now, as they should be since it will be the single greatest video game on ANY gaming platform(Yeah, BITE ME HALF LIFE 2!). If they do decide to go for Halo 2 on PC, that is MUCH later down the road...I'm thinking 2006 at the nearest.

I guess I'd have to agree. Bungie is notorious for releasing games two to three YEARS apart. Even if they are sequels.

I'm not bashing Bungie b/c of the time it takes them to make a game. I, for one, am SUPER glad they're taking the necessary amount of time to make Halo 2 perfect. For me, its well worth the wait.

However, if Halo 2 is not what I expect it to be (no, I'm not expecting it to be perfect, but at least 3x more fun, exciting, and intense than Halo 1), I will probably turn my back on Bungie forever. But, I find it impossible that Halo 2 will in ANY way suck.

It hasn't been decided yet - read the Halo 2 FAQ.

Man I hope they bring it out sooner then later, and those faqs are so old they're from 2003 so i think they might have made a discision. But think about it first they have to milk ever last penny out of halo2 xbox, and then only then will they think about Halo2 PC. So I say it's going to come out around 2006-7. "I just wish it would come out now" :-(

Expectation leads to disappointment...when Halo 2 comes out, I will look at it as a new game, and not compare every minute detail to Halo 1; I hope you will too. After all Bungie is developing Halo 2 as a new game with no carried-over resources.

that's bside the point halo 2 for pc... well it wouldn't be my cup o tea as by then i would have had xbox controller surgically grafted to my brain, (get rid of those useless thumbs and go straight for the source :P).
that and my PC just barely runs halo now... so like i would need to SPEND MONEY, something i dont like doing
