My friend recently purchased an Xbox 360, and when he set up his LIVE account it wouldn't let us join one another's parties. Well, we finally figured that out, but now we can't hear one another's voices. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

I love the complainers that complain about the complainers complaining.

if you are trying to play halo 2, then make sure you hold the LB button when talking

But what about him not being able to hear my voice?

Well, I'm on an original Xbox, and he's on the 360. He doesn't have a mic yet, so I don't yet know if I'm able to hear his voice or not. I do know, however, that he cannot hear mine. I press the white button every time, but he still hears nothing. It doesn't allow him to hear me in pregame lobbies, either, if that helps.

If he doesn't have a mic then I think he has to set voice output to speakers only.

Usually, problems with voice and problems with joining games are both down to NAT problems.

Thank you very much for all of your help. I don't know what did it, but it worked fine for us when we tried to speak to one another today. Thank you again for helping me. You can lock this now.
