I have a SB Live 24-Bit 7.1; EAX Advanced HD Sound Card

I plugged in my P5800 5.1 Surround sound system into the card

When i enable the Hardware Acceleration, i get some very bad sound problems. When multiple sounds are about (usually in a battle), I get some really interesting problems. Sometimes the sounds will be delayed and play late. Sometimes they will start to play and then cut out. And sometimes they just wont play at all. I need to keep hardware acceleration on for my 5.1 system to work, but it sounds like crap. So for now, ive had to revert to my headphones which is ok (they are nice headphones), but i want to use this system! Anyone know of problems in this area and/or how to fix them? I got the latest patch for Halo and latest drivers for the card. Its only a problem in Halo....Anyone care to enlighten me?

Heyyo,

Hmm, Yeah, most soundblasters seem to not work too well with halo.... mine doesn't either...

you can try to lower your soundcard's hardware acceleration by a knotch or two, that sometimes helps. You could also try disabling it, but I don't think you need to go that far....

I find the latest drivers for my audigy to like, suck with my soundcard, so I found webudate2 to work the best, so for you, you might have to do the same by tying each soundcard driver for your soundcard and see which works the best.
